DEMON HORSES: A horse that has a demon's soul in it. When the soul of a demon is in control of a body, it spreads the soul by biting another.
When a horse with a demon's soul is killed, it kills the physical boy, but not the soul. The soul splits in two and will find more victims to affect. If a demon horse bites a human, the human could die in 3 days.

History: Her parents were very extremely rich. They lived on a ranch and they had a stable full of horses. They lived in the country side. They didn't like to show off their money. But they always have it in case. Her mom was a horse veterinarian and Chris would help her mom. Her dad was a tech geek and his room was full of computers and stuff. She also helps her dad with those. She was born pretty intelligent. She loves medical conditions and of course, HORSES. When she was 10, she found Crystal in the wild and started riding as practically as soon as she could walk. When she was 13, she was chasing a loose horse with Crystal, but somehow, Crystal reared up and Chris fell down and got hurt badly, getting away with broken bones. Crystal had stepped on Chris. Chris was lucky to be alive at all. She did not ride for 3 years because of the accident.

History: Niyal was the sixth child born to his mother and father. They had him at a late age, so he pretty much grew up as an only child. His father ran a ranch called "Mended Soul" Together they rescued abused horses and rehabilitated them. Sometimes the horses would be sold to loving family and sometimes the horses would spend the rest of their life on the ranch. Niyal enjoyed the company of horses, they didn't demand anything from him nor did they try to control his life. His mother wanted him to go off to college to have a better life, his father wanted him to stay on the ranch and some day take over. Niyal just wanted to be left alone, so at nineteen he packed up and set out to live in the forest to be alone. That's when he found a yearling (2 years old) stallion that was tangled up in barbed wire. Once he freed the yearling he gathered wild herbs to heal the wounds on the horse's legs. During this time of healing, they both came to depend upon one another and a strong friendship was formed. They are been together ever since.

Personality: Much like his human he is pretty much a lone stallion. But unlike his human he can be a jouster. He loves to kick up his hooves and roll in the dirty. He often makes funny sounds to get a response out of Niyal.

History: Yiska was separated from his herd during a round up. He had a run in with barbed wire fence that he didn't see. He spent two days tangled in that mess when Niyal found him. At first he was frightened and tried to bite, kick and scream at the human, but once he saw what Niyal was doing he allowed himself to be freed. Too weak to run away, he also allowed the human to care for his wounds. During this time they formed a strong friendship. Yiska allows Niyal to ride him, but refuses a saddle or anything close to it. He won't even wear a bridle. They work together but touch singles, which comes in handy when needing to defend themselves.

Other: Yiska refuses to let any human other then Niyal to ride him or even be near him. All Niyal has to do is whistle for Yiska to make an appearance.

While her brother fitted in nicely with the other students as they grew up, Akari kept to herself, and few friends she made. However, she found a true friend in her horse, Arashi, and together they did many things. When she and her brother heard of the demon horses, both decided to find a way to combat it, if there was any way at all. So, together, the four headed out. (She was better at japanese then german, and since majority of her school was german, she didnt fit in well cause she couldn't speak german well.)
