Ok ok, I got this!
Tyka sat up, excited to start the day. It was already starting great, the soft ring of bells could be heard as people opened their shops. She raced downstairs and saw her mom in the kitchen.
"Good morning mom," She called running to the kitchen to where her mom was.
Her mom was a cat, just like her! Her mom was a tabby cat while she was a black halfie cat. She didn't mind though, she liked being different.

Liana was skipping down the street already, she liked getting up very early to see the sun rise and the world change from deep colored night to bright shining day. She adored the world. Her kitty tail swished behind her and she swirled happily, long blond hair flowing around her a bit as she spun. She had on dark blue bell bottom pants and a huggy long sleeved shoulderless top of a soft gray.

I only suck at starting stories... kind of?

Tyka sat down, reverting back to her normal quiet nature. Her mom turned around, holding all veggies in her hand on a plate. Her mom placed the plate down infront of her and Tyka licked her lips, saying a quick thanks before digging in, clearly happy.
(Maybe you could do it so guards heard about a lion cub and went to investigate? Maybe looking around and knocking on their door?)

I doubt you suck at that. And sure, um. So I put in some guards for now instead of Liana?)

Liana kept up her happy singy song joy dance down the side walk, smiling up at the glorious blue sky. "Another day~!"

(Up to you. I was just thinking the guards came to investigate Tyka's house because they heard rumors about her mom taking care of a lion cub)

Once Tyka was finished she went into the living room, looking through the windows to see how nice it was today, so pretty. Her mom came to sit beside her and she let out a tiny purr, she felt safe and happy.

(Okie dokie.)

There then came a sturdy knock on the front door, two guards stood outside with weaponry you can decide, that is if they had weaponry. One held a letter type thing, scanning it. "Ya' sure the rumor is true? I lion cub?" The one with the letter asked. The other nodded, his hat covering his face in a shadow. "Yeah, might as well check it out. Can never be to careful."

(Hmmm, since this world has no technology (unless you want some?) I'm guessing spears? Guns seem a little overpowered.)
Her mom stood up quickly, pushing Tyka out of view, "Hide Tyka," She whispered before going to open the door.
Tyka ran and hid in the kitchen, unsure of were else to go.
"Hello! Nice day today, what are you here for," Tyka heard her mother ask and she peaked out to look at the two guards, wondering why she had to hide.

(Spears sound cool, and no tech sounds 100% fine by me. ^w^)

The guard with the letter dipped his head politely to her while the other with the had spoke. "Hello ma'am, indeed a nice day it is. I'm sorry for any disturbance, but we've heard rumores of a lion cub being harbored here and we'd just like to be sure with a search."

The letter guy nodded, holding up the sheet of paper with things written on it by hand.
