I don't have screenshots or anything. But I captured 2 sylesties, one a blue Sylvorpa in battle, and the other a Volnixi during the bandit camp thing when I attacked the wagon. It asked me if I wanted to keep or release her and I chose keep. But when I went to check my Stables, I didn't see her. The Sylvorpa I caught in battle, and she never showed up either. I tried logging out and signing back in, but that didn't work. I believe the Volnixi had a voliet base color and a pastel purple/magenta/purple-pink secondary color.

Edit: I just remembered I also caught a female Qitari... It was in battle too. I don't remember what she looked like though. All I remember is that I caught her in the Fungus Grove. I found the Sylvorpa in the Troll cave, and the Volnixi at the Nightfall Bandit camp. The Sylvorpa was level 5

Egglings and hatchlings that you obtain go to the hatchery- that's where the zolnixi is.

as for the sylvorpa, are you sure it was caught? There are three possible outcomes when using a non-master snare on sylesti outside of the Lost Grove: The sylesti escapes the trap but remains in battle, the sylesti is caught (battle log will provide a link to the pet's page), and the sylesti escapes the trap and flees the battle.

I'm not sure... I thought the Volnixi was an adult. I do remember the battle ending after the turn I used the trap. I didn't know a Sylesti could flee

I'm not sure why you keep typing 'volnixi' but man is it confusing. Brain sees "v_nix_" and goes "ah, vulnyx" each time then pauses and goes "wait". Vulnyx = cat, Zolnixi = fox

Anyway, yes, they can flee- if it's gone and the battle log doesn't give you a pet page link, it's run away.
And it will never give you an option to 'adopt or abandon' adult sylesti, only egglings and hatchlings.


(also, since you're a newbie, I'd suggest not catching just any old sylesti unless you think they're Very pretty and don't have any interest in them for selling or breeding, just their aesthetics, since common/uncommon (white/green star) sylesti are worth basically nothing, and random wild rares (blue star) aren't likely to be worth the price of the trap either, and you have limited stable space and funds early on)

Yeah... That's what I usually do. I wanna try and breed Sylvorpas. I have never seen a page link, guess I need to read the bottom part now for turns and stuff.
