I am using D&D races but we're not rp-ing like a dnd game. (I've never played D&D before and I want to but my parents think that it's a bad idea.)

You are a dragon rider, a brave soul that has grown up with a dragon and bonded you have become an unstoppable pair. Normally dragon riders are solitary and work alone, but the king has asked you personally to protect this city and you are being payed a high price. You are now grouped together with other dragon riders tasked to protect this important city from the oncoming invasion. Most all of the nobles have fled from the city because all other cities and villages have fallen to the formidable invasion force. So far no one is aware that the invasion force is being backed by other dragon riders. You must stop the invasion, but who is in the wrong. Why are they even invading and what do they want? It starts two days before the invasion to give you time to prepare or scout out the oncoming army.

Dragon riders all have immunity to the breath weapon of their dragon.
If you don't have matching dragon and rider make sure your backstories line up.
Look it up if you want to know what each dragon looks like and look up the diffrent dnd classes don't just make one up.

Rules:
-No cheating
-Hate the character, not the player
-No overpowered characters
-No swear words.
-Please ping when you post
-Please write more then one line for each post if possible
-You can have romance, but don't let it take over the plot
-Write what your characters favorite dessert is in your personality if you read the rules
-The limit is two dragons and two riders. You could have a black dragon and a green dragon rider though so it doesn't have to be matching dragon and rider.
-Use pictures please. If you can't that's okay.
-Most importantly, have fun!

Kandir met his rider when he was 127, he was badly injured after attacking a group of bugbears. He had tried to fly away but his wings were damaged and he crashed into a different part of the forest. When he hit the ground he was knocked out and that's when his rider found him. They were very young and so Kandir left but eventually he came back for them.

Zion is a could care less kind of guy and the one thing he does value is his freedom. He is a warrior through and through and always appreciates a good fight. He did manage to acquire a blade from an elven noble that he deemed not worthy of it. Of course he wasn't the one who stole it, it was his boyfriend who was very stealthy. He loves cinnamon rolls, when he first tried them he instantly fell in love with them. He was once a very caring guy but when his loved one was brutally murdered when a dragon attacked the village they were staying in he changed. He doesn't really trust any dragons anymore. He is constantly looks for a partner because he cant stand the loneliness. The only person he will actually listen to and talk to truthfully about how he is feeling is Conell and Zion hasn't been telling him much of anything lately.

He fights mainly with his swords because the spear is special to him, but he will fight with the spear if he has to.
Abilities:
Zion taught himself to fight with the spear but he was taught by his father how to fight with two blades. Zion is very strong and has a high pain tolerance. He is immune to the black dragons acid.
Weaknesses:
Zion cannot stand the cold, he hates it, he can't think properly when he is cold and he gets sluggish. He is very lonely but wont admit it and it's starting to get to him. The only person he will actually listen to is Conell.

Despite his foreboding appearance he's quite friendly and awkward. He's not used to being put on the spot and when he is he can make brash decisions when he is. He gets really jumpy and suspicious of new people/dragons and isn't keen on talking to them much. Conell is a big fan of camp fires and s'mores, he can eat ten in a minute if he's able, and you know when somethings wrong if he doesn't want one. In battle he's cunning and can be a merciless destructive force with the determination to keep what's his safe.
