Just something weird I noticed but the time shows up different when your in a zone then when your in the forums:

The times should be the same. The difference though is that the old layout uses Javascript to determine the time, whereas the new layout actually pings the server every 60 seconds and reads the time from there.

Javascript is client side code that loads directly in your browser and runs on your device. This makes it susceptible to all sorts of issues.

Additionally, once you load a page on the old layout, the time will just update itself from that point on and never again talk to the server (until you reload the page). So if you leave that page open for a very long time, the clock will become inaccurate. You may also have some sort of setting set, such as "Disable scripts when not focused on tab", which would pause the clock on that page if you aren't looking at that page. So if you open the tab, leave it, and come back a day later on the same tab without reloading, the clock will be a day behind until you reload it.
