(For context: Watership Down is about a group of wild rabbits trying to make themselves a warren after they escape their homes fowl demise; all thanks to one of the characters, Fiver and his dreams. They pick up a few on the way to a down (Which is a group of trees if you didn't already know.) where they make their home.)
We start with a small group who had just left a large warren; which was beginning to fall apart. They just might be the only surviving deserters. Others died from outside reasons like starvation or... slightly more mysterious causes...
