That's it. that's the thread.

Everyone has those LITTLE... TINY things that just won't leave them alone. Let's rant about them and ease our minds a little, eh?

It can be about anything that isn't offensive. Don't go hurting people's feelings or anything, I don't have patience nor charisma to deal with that.

Rants can be as long as you want them to be. No one's obligated to read every rant, nor any rant. But please use clean language. Expand the old vocabulary if you need to.

Doesn't necessarily have to be about bad things. Can be good things. Spreading goodness is good. Ping me for good things. Not bad. Nor neutral.

If you plan on posting anything... of a sensitive nature... consider seeking professional help instead.

Don't ping anyone unless... I guess... you want to be pinged... for some reason? If anyone wants to be pinged, I can set up a list.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Great game. I love it. But there's one thing that WILL NOT leave me alone, and sometimes keeps me up at night.

Why does Pit have the Lightning Chariot?

[spoiler warning, for Kid Icarus: Uprising]
In chapter 18 of Kid Icarus: Uprising, it is revealed that Pit's been asleep for three years and Palutena's gome a bit off the rails, turning her back on everything she fought for, and the captain of her own royal guard (who also happens to be Pit). pit has no way to help her without the help of Viridi, Goddess of nature and RIVAL to Palutena. Chapter 19, you retrieve the Lightning Chariot. After using it to make it to Palutena's temple in chapter 20, Phosphora, one of Viridi's commanders, retrieves it. It's used later in the chapter by Dark Pit to keep the portal to the Chaos Vortex from closing.

The next time we see it is when Pit is eaten by Hades in chapter 23, and Dark Pit uses it again to save Pit.
It is not seen again.

Keep in mind, also, both SSBU and KI:U are developed by Masahiro Sakurai, and absolute legend that wrote the script for KI:U himself.

Now, valid arguments for Pit using the Lightning Chariot:
-he's the one to retrieve it
-the Three Sacred Treasures were eaten
-the Great Sacred Treasure was destroyed

Okay, fine. But how about this:
-he only uses it once, compared to twice by Dark Pit
-it belongs to Viridi, his boss's RIVAL
-the SSB canon is a separate universe from KI where he could totally still have Sacred Treasures
-he can call down centurions again

And here it is: Dark Pit should be using the Lightning Chariot, NOT that dinky Dark Pit Staff.

Reasons:
-the Dark Pit Staff is not Dark Pit's. There's a CHANCE he MIGHT use it in KI:U, but he uses it once and it's an OP version that shouldn't exist and yet is easily avoided
-the Dark Pit staff isn't even a high-tier weapon
-he canonically works for Viridi now, and therefore would have easy access to the Chariot, which she owns
-he's shown to have skill in using it, having... done the... 'look ma, no hands' thing in chapter 23... so yeah

Anyways... that's my rant on why Dark Pit should have the Lightning Chariot, NOT Pit.
