Onboard the giant spacecraft Borealis, you had just finished your daily tasks when the ship began to violently shake and the evacuation alarms started blaring. You followed protocol, and headed to the nearest escape pod and strapped yourself in. No one else joined you in the pod before a countdown began, and you were launched off of the Borealis.
Until that point, you were calm, as there were semi-regularly scheduled and some random evacuation drills, however, youve never been launched into space like this before. The only glimpse of the outside you could see from the pod was the tiny window, where you watched the darkness of space shift into a lighter blue color, then a tinted red/orange color as you shot through the atmosphere. The force caused the fire extinguisher on your left to come loose, and crash into the wall, causing a panel to come loose and fly around the interior as well, until the panel bounced off the wall and hit you in the head, knocking you unconscious
