So I just used regular essences to create this couple:

The template from the generator was for this (I turned the carrying gene two visible for the sake of showing the intended result)
[img]http://www.sylestia.com/imagebuilder.php?species=kelpari&breed=sylesti&gender=male&gd1=NN&gd2=CC&gd3=NN&md1=NN&md2=NN&md3=NB&ec=ff8585&c1=ffffff&c2=ffc9ce&c3=cfcfcf&gd1c=ffffff&gd2c=ffb8b8&gd3c=ffffff&md1c=ffffff&md2c=ffffff&md3c=d1d1d1&maturity=216&size=250" style="max-width:500px; display:inline" />
(Also whatever is going on here. I'm using the normal [ img] coding. ^ o_o)

The boy had both his color two and gene two go blue, while the girl only had her color two go blue... I know there is fluctuation in regular generator hex codes, but I've never seen or heard of it actually changing spectrum before?

If you choose colors like white, black, or brown - it can slightly tweak each RGB value differently to then cause the result to be slightly red, green, or blue.

For some reason the image is not linking properly in my original post... The colors I had selected were pink, pale but still in the red spectrum. I am confused as to why they went from pink to blue.

I'll try posting the image again. (I turned the seahorse visible for the purpose of showing the change)

(well it worked! Still not sure why my original post won't link the image. :) )

If the hex values were close together, say like 200 000 190. That would probably be pinkish. after generating, especially with a blue essence, it could end up at like 215 035 225. Which would now be blueish. It is random, so it won't always happen. And if you used an Enhanced or Mystical, it would barely happen or not at all.

Ah.... okay. I was thrown when it happened to both of them. I mean I was prepared for the color to change in the red spectrum (darker/lighter, browner, redder, etc.) but not change completely like that. A bit disappointing, to say the least... I'll just get pet dyes I guess.

What I mean is, I am aware of the blue essence scatter hexing, but I was not under the impression it could change a color completely like that.

I've actually seen this type of color change from the generator a few times. It is quite frustrating. I've seen RED turn blue or GREEN turn purple. I don't have any picture images, though, because I release ones with drastic changes like that. I've also seen it happen to other users' generated pets. I get there is supposed to be a color swing, but completely changing the color is not fun. It eliminates the purpose of being able to choose your colors. /.\
