I know I'm a little late to make this, but it's 5 am and I'm s a d.
Christmas is in 3 days and I've remembered all the good memories.
My dad and mom used to take us sledding.
We'd make hot chocolate and start a fire in the fireplace.
We always went over to my grandparents on Christmas Eve for a feast and presents.
Then on Christmas my sister and I would always wake my parents up super early so we could open our presents.
Making cookies for Santa was so fun, sometimes I snuck some of the cookies though.
I would feel the presents and shake them to see what was in them.
We always made reindeer food too! We put it in bags and spread it around the yard. It contained oats and edible glitter, so the reindeer would be able to see it from the sky. It contained more stuff but I don't remember what.
This was when my family didn't hate each other and my brother still cared for us.
Anyways I would love to hear about the memories you guys remember! I always enjoy listening to people share things. Don't be shy to ping me about them! :D

I always enjoyed the warm feelings the colored Christmas lights on the tree gave, and seeing if we would see Santa in the sky as we drove home from my Grandparent's house. Seeing the wrapped presents under the tree Christmas morning, still dark outside. We acted put the Nativity Scene at family parties, which were really fun and bring back good memories. Nowadays we don't do much of that, since everyone's gotten older and my grandma died, but i still love some of the feelings certain objects give me.

Aaa that sounds wonderful. I get a feeling like that too, when I look at something and get a warm fuzzy feeling. It always puts a smile on face. :D

this might be a little late (oops) but,,,
Every Chstmas Eve I go to my aunt's house, it's like a normal saturday night but on whatever day Christmas Eve is on and with gifts) and we have a huge dinner and my Nama and my Aunt Moffy come up with their husbands, Robin and Scott if you were curious, and we open gifts and I lay on the ground with the dogs and my baby cousins the whole time.
And on Christmas day my sister wakes me up by yelling into our walkie talkies, despite the fact that our rooms are right next to each other, and I'll have to hang out with her and do her hair and makeup at like 5 am
Then at 7 we open presents with my mom and dad and we have a huge breakfast and my aunt and uncle come to our house and we hang out in our barn with our animals. It's really fun
Then we have two parties, one at my other aunt's house, where I vibe in her game room with my cousins and get told to eat more despite the fact that it's all such filling food. The other party is my Aunt Sally's (great aunt technically but oh well) and I get blankets and other really random gifts from people I barely ever see.
Then we go home close to midnight and my parents go to bed and I help my sister put away all her gifts which is more fun than it sounds
Preparing for Christmas is probably the second best part though because my mom hates (like with a passion) Christmas music so it's always a competition to see who can play it the longest without her turning it off.
We get our tree and decorate like everyone else and my sister and I trade off on cookie making duty and breakfast prep duty. Nobody ever yells though because I think we all get into the spirit and even my mom who isn't very good at dealing with stress and stuff does so much better and everyone is generally just really happy.
The BEST part by far is that every year after Christmas, usually the day we take down decorations (so yesterday in this year's case), we rearrange our living room and rooms and such. It's really fun because it feels like you're starting new and you get to feel like that for new year's, it's probably the best feeling ever lol

Reading this honestly put a smile on my face. Your Christmas Eve/Day sounds so wonderful!
I love the idea of walkie talkies honestly-
Whenever I go to my grandmas I always lay down with her dogs too, after they lick me to death.
It sounds so nice to have nobody yelling, my mom and dad always yell at us and during the holidays the stress just makes it worse.
I'm glad you seemed to enjoy your holiday! <3

We get new ones every Christmas, sometimes when we can't sleep and don't want to bother anyone we talk for a little until she falls asleep, then I'll just tidy up my room or play on my phone
I'm sorry your holidays were stressful, you could become an adoptive member of my holiday traditions from now on if you'd like c:

It sounds like you have a wonderful relationship with your sister. I'm just glad it's working out between you two, siblings are inseparable and I'm glad your on good terms with yours!
(Also sorry if it sounds like I'm being a complete sob. I'm not trying to be.)

I would do anything for her if I'm being honest but we fight a lot.
Like, a lot. It's usually over dumb stuff though and never lasts very long

Yeah
Siblings tend to fight over anything
I know from personal experience
My sister and I have fought over the TV and who gets the computer at my grandmas.
I would die for her though, even if she wouldn't do the same for me.
Guess that's just what being a big sister means though.
