So, I've been trying to complete the capture quest and managed to catch a sylesti on my first try, but no one seems to be able to tell that I've captured it. :/

The capture a sylesti quest is a scripted event. You are not actually required to use a trap. Just keep exploring and it ill come up =)

Wow... Thats kinda lame, since it doesn't even say that. I wasted money on the trap, then. :/

I don't exactly join sites for communities, so prefer to NOT be on forums. No where on the instructions does it say that it isn't done with traps, which is what I was getting at.

The forums here aren't solely for communication with other users, but for information from the Admins as well. The admins have already said, in several topics, that they plan on completely redoing the tutorial to make it more user-friendly; until then, a lot of information on issues can be found in the FAQ and Player Guides forums. This is a Beta, communication between the admins and the users is kind of essential to make the site better and to the point that they can comfortably take it out of Beta. No, you don't have to communicate with anyone if you don't want to, but you shouldn't get upset when someone is trying to point you in the right direction for information.

As stated, yes, the Capture quest is just a scripted event.

And also as stated, we plan on revamping the entire tutorial process (as well as the entire first 2 regions). I promise that the revamp will be vastly improved with things like this.
