Ok..I did an experiment to see whether a high stat pet (100 for each attribute) fared any better than a regular stat pet so here is what I did.

I took my level 70 Lupora, attuned to Light(Mangle) and gave her the Pyromancer Vinethorn Gear then I took my Griffi, Butternut Squash, attuned to Light (temporarily) and have him the exact vinethorn gear too.
Each one has the same allocation of Proficiency Points and the ONLY difference is that I gave Mangle an additional Pyromancer Exoctic Bracer and I discovered that, between the two there was barely a difference in their stats when it came to magical damage/magical mitigation.

Naturally I can give Mangle additional gear to enhance her agility but I just found it interesting that high stats do not always mean a better performing pet.

Anyone else notice this too?

The extra piece of gear makes all the difference!

In the lost grove gear is more important than stats!

And more important than either of them is proficency ranks (your skills get waaay stronger and upgrade if you use them a lot in the lost grove!)
