I bought 2 sets of diamonds (I accidentally purchased the wrong set the first time) but only the second set appeared? It does appear as bought on my paypal.

Thank you for letting me know.

It looks like for some reason a connection couldn't be established w/ PayPal's server when our server tried to verify the transaction.

I re-processed it and it looks like it's gone through now and so you should have the Diamonds.

That is awesome. Also I feel like it is on my end somehow, because my son just bought me 5.00$ worth of gems and it happened again. IDEK, so like it HAS to be something up over here.

(also I spent the allowance that I give myself from my paycheck on gems today. Your Welcome lol)

Just FYI - the Transaction IDs are different for buyer and seller. I'm not sure why it's that way, but it is lol. So I can't look it up by your Transaction ID #.

However, I was able to check our error log for an error and found one and then checked the sale logs and matched them by timestamp and then confirmed that said transaction was not properly processed lol. So I went ahead and manually processed it and it's gone through now.

I am not sure what the root source of the issue is nor what exactly is happening. The IPN just fails and then simply leaves an error in our error log saying, "cURL error: [6] Could not resolve host". Which essentially just means a connection error w/ PayPal's IPN service.

I am having a similar issue I believe. I just purchased $20 of dias but they arent showing up on my account. It does show that it went through as I received my receipt from PayPal.

Edit: they have come through now, I am not sure if the delay is typical or not (it has been about 45 mins since I initially purchased them) since they have always shown up immediately in the past.

I am glad to hear that they came through.

Yea, idk. Usually, I've found they take anywhere from literally instantly to maybe a couple of minutes. I am not sure what would have caused it to take 45 minutes. Our server processes the Diamonds literally instantly the split second PayPal sends the notification to our server. So it's just entirely reliant on when PayPal does that.

Very rarely, as was the source of this thread, when PayPal sends the notification to our server and then our server attempts to verify the message (because technically anyone could ping our server attempting to fake a transaction), sometimes our server will fail to properly handshake w/ PayPal's server and things fail and the transaction goes into limbo.

My only guess is either PayPal was having some slight issues or had to do something to verify the payment for some reason.
