The Key to the Kingdom

It is the era of kings and crusades, of princesses and knights. But, before your imagination wanders to the past of your own world, lets get one fact straight.
This is not earth. This is not your solar system. This is not even your galaxy.
Where then, you may wonder, is this?
The Andromeda Galaxy, where precisely is unknown to you mortals, but it is not of any importance, as the people who live there have no concept of the galaxy outside of their own system.
This system had five planets, the largest being called Terra(a shocker, I know), and the rest being named after their predominant color. I shall list them for you by size: Blue, Red, Yellow, and Black.
Blue is a land of water, Red of fire, Yellow of light, and Black of darkness.
Terra, however, is a land of men, not unlike your own. But while Earths men squabble over land and resources, Terra is united under one flag.
This great empire, you may call it Ezarus, is led by two of the greatest rulers Terra has ever seen. But the great king and queen are without a single child to call heir.
Thus they have devised the Contest.
Four parts of a single key have been scattered, and the first to return with all four pieces shall be the heir.
But there are two catches.
The participants are limited to a chosen few.
The pieces are not on Terra.
How is this possible, you might ask? How can a planet with primitive technology have access to the vastness of space?
Simple: magic.
The king and queen have access to the long-forgotten magic of Terris, including the gateway.
The gateway? Well, I guess it wouldnt hurt to tell you.
The gateway is a waystop in space and time, guarded by the Lady Herald. Within the gateway dimension there are five portals, one for each planet.
The pieces of the key can be found on each planet, and the only way to return to Terra is with the whole key.
There is a piece made of fire on Red, one of water on Blue, one of light on Yellow, and one of darkness on Black.
But each world is full of the unknown, for magic is not ad forgotten as it is on Terra, and challenges wait around every corner...

8. Your character may not have magic unless given to you in RP, you must also be human and cannot have 9. any item that exceeds the techology of the reneissance
