I know this is not important at the moment and can be addressed when you have time of course.

But I have a broken image in my inventory for "Background (Controlled Fireworks Show)". I have attempted clearing out cookies, browser history, and basic things on my end to see if that worked but it did not. And it has been there for some time now. I figured to let someone know, and see if anyone else was experiencing this problem.

I unfortunately am not really sure what's causing this. I don't have this issue on my end, but a lot of players are reporting this issue.

Looking over the code, everything looks correct and I'm not finding any reason why it'd be loading differently for me vs other players.

When I first switched over to the new item icon system, backgrounds were indeed 100% broken at that point. And any attempt to view them would have created a cached local version on someone's device. So I just have to assume that's the issue. However, multiple players have reported clearing their cache and still having the issue so... I honestly don't know.


If someone who is having this issue is proficient w/ their browsers Inspect Element/Debug feature and can give me a snippet of the exact URL source of the broken image, I would be able to 100% confirm what's going on at that point.

For both the trade broker and in the inventory, it is trying to get images from
https://www.sylestia.com/images/items/icons/1/4/(name).png (back items)
instead of
https://www.sylestia.com/images/items/icons/1/6/(name).png (backgrounds)

Edit: I've only noticed this from backgrounds bought from the trade broker. Items that are in my inventory because I removed them from the wardrome display the correct image.

Those links you referenced are the correct links so it must just be issues with loading a cached broken image.

You can forcibly refresh it by directly loading that image's URL into your browser and then spam refreshing on that, such as:

I think I worded it poorly. Currently, in the trade broker it's trying to find images for the backgrounds at .../icons/1/4/name.png, which I don't think is the right image (i.e. it's looking for a https://www.sylestia.com/images/items/icons/1/4/cornucopia.png and not finding anything).
And then, all items in the inventory that got there from the trade broker are also trying to find the background images at .../1/4/name.png

Yeah, it seems like the inventory/trade broker are trying to load the images from where they used to be in the files- wardrobe tab 4's image directory, I assume.
Which doesn't work, since the backgrounds were moved to be tab 6, and thus are in that image directory.

And as our attempts evidenced when we brought it up in genchat a while back, trying to force cache clear/ reload ignoring cache didn't seem to do anything for the issue.

Okay... so a lot of Backgrounds were still marked in the database as 'Back' items and that was creating the issue here I believe. I had to basically go through and manually set all of those to the 'Background' category.

That said - there's still a lot of issues with the categorization of items, but at least everything should be consistent now. If the main item catalog thinks an item is a background item... all of that item should now properly be marked as such. However, there still are quite a few items cataloged as a 'Back' item that probably make more sense as a 'Background', but that's for another fix. =P
