When does the next party slot open? I am sorry if I am in the wrong place to ask but I am massively confused.

Yeah this should really go in the FAQ forum but that's fine.
Your second slot should be available for you to open when you get into Esior's Haven. In there is the Plaza, Which I do not think is open to you right away, but after a little while it opens and you meet Miri the Healer Fairy and William the hunter. William will add a slot to your party *for a prize, sorry I do not remember what it was*, He also helps you omen slots for missions. then when you advance to the next region there is a Plaza with people that will do the same. I hope this helps.

The price for opening the second slot is 2500 gold. Same for expanding your mission max. It get more and more expensive every time you do it, though.
