So i'm writing my second (and third?) Book now.

I'd like some feedback on some parts of it!

This thread is open to comments and suggestions!

Please keep in mind that I own the copyright to my ideas and characters!

Foreword Selection:

It was as though the stars were part of the forest. The small, white orbs of various sizes floated gently around the dark area, illuminating it dimly. Out of the deep green of the forest, there is a flash of bright colors. A marbled fox, of pale pastel pink, blue, and purple, pounces on a creature similar to a mouse, catching it easily.

The strange fox enjoys her meal, marbled fur glistening with the light of the orbs. This is normal in the forests of Kaleria, a land similar to the one you're probably familiar with. Though the people living in this land, and the forests and creatures, are quite different from what you know. Elements, like the ones that likely come to mind when brought up, like air, fire and water, have attuned to the living things in Kaleria.

This fox in particular, is attuned to a dark element. When threatened or startled, her fur shifts to swirls of deep blue, purple, and black, displaying her element. She has particular abilities to match her element, as do many other things, to defend herself or her kits, if she has them.

As for the mouse- like creature, though it stood no chance, had elemental abilities of it's own. All things, trees, people, creatures, have these elements flowing through them. This is how Kaleria exists, pulsing with the elements and with life.

Deep within the largest forest in the land, a bright, lovely, sacred forest to both animals and people and all other living things, the heartbeat of the land falters.

Something is wrong, and all of the land has felt the change.
