(Hehe, I'm kind of new to this forum... But not roleplaying itself. So please, bear with me! :D )

~The Backstory~

There had once been a single pack to rule all packs. It was known as the Alderwood Pack. Hundreds of years ago, they held an unimaginable amount of power, and the secret was very simple. All loners were allowed into the Alderwood Pack. Instead of having the original territory of the newcomer destroyed, the territory of the loner was added to that of the pack...and the boundaries of the Alderwood's kingdom grew.

On one particularly scarce winter, as the Alpha Female and the Alpha Male grew weary with old age, they decided to have pups to help continue the Alphas' legacy. Of course, the Alphas' three pups that had been born before were now the Betas, but the Alphas believed that the Betas weren't exactly the best wolves to rule the pack. A few months later, only two precious pups were born--and they were the only pups to be born within that whole year. With a jet black coat, the male pup was named Eternal Soul. The female pup, a stark white, was named Abraxia.
The whole pack's luck took a turn for the worse when the two pups ran away for no known reason. The Alpha Female died. Legend says that she drowned herself from depression. The Alpha Male grew stone hard, cold and unforgiving.

And only a month later, the death of the Alderwood Pack's reign was imminent. A she wolf with a strange aura walked into the heart of the Alderwood Pack's territory and padded straight into the Alpha Male's den. For some reason, nobody tried to stop her. A few moments later, blood was smeared on her claws as she trotted back out. With simply a flirt and a flutter, this new she wolf was the only one in charge now. Nobody dared to mess with her. Not even the betas, who were supposed to have held the position of Alpha if called for. And though it seemed that not a muscle was moved, the pack was killed in the dead of the night. The legend never specified the name or identity of the murderer.

Two years later, Eternal Soul happened to wander across the 'abandoned' territory with his pregnant mate, Rhea. Put picklepuff anywhere in your post if you've read this far. He decided to restart the pack with his new family, wanting to relive the legacy his parents had created. Rhea soon gave birth to four pups. Three were healthy, and one was weak in physical strength. The weak pup, named Raizan, tried to prove himself to be an equal of his litter-mates by showing everyone how fast he was. Nobody, especially the Alphas, paid any attention to him. When the runt of the litter reached the age of a year, he was cast out of Soul's new pack. The weakling was forced to become a loner. Slowly, Soul's pack grew, filling with bold, fierce warriors. The only problem was that runts and weaklings were cast out of the pack almost as soon as possible. As Soul's pack grew, so did the number of loners that surrounded its territory.

A year or so later, Abraxia found Soul's new pack, and she pleaded to be let into her brother's territory. Soul refused to give his assent, and she was also forced to be a loner. Fortunately, she found a mate. He was the runt of Rhea's litter. Abraxia and Raizan produced four pups. One was strong, and the other three seemed to be quite weak. But the new parents didn't give up on any of them.

After months of scrutinizing the pups carefully, the mates finally came up with a strength that cancelled out the pups' weaknesses. They were fast. Fast as spreading wildfire, fast as lightning running through the air, and possibly even faster than the downfall of the Alderwood Pack. Unlike Soul's pack, Abraxia's pack grew very quickly. Even though she hadn't realized it, Abraxia had been following her parents' incentive by letting loners from Soul's pack into her own growing pack.

Another year passed, and things finally settled enough for Abraxia to give her pack a name: The Ambrosia Pack. Actually, put the name of a random dessert anywhere in your first post if you've read this far. Soul heard of the new pack name and, in retaliation, gave his own pack a name: The Nightshade Pack. The two packs' territories came very close to each other, and when the wolves of each side found out, they weren't happy.

~Setting~

The setting of the two packs is a lush forest. Prey isn't a problem. Currently, the only thing that's separating the two packs is a pristine river. Past the territory of the Nightshade Pack, going away from the river, the forest fades into rocky mountains. But these mountains are in the far off distance, so no need to worry about them. Past the territory of the Ambrosia Pack, going away from the river, the forest fades into the coast.

~Plot~
You are part of either the Nightshade Pack, the Ambrosia Pack, or you might just be a loner. The intense rivalry between the two packs is getting more and more heated every day, and there may just be a full scale war soon. But will somebody intervene? Will secret connections between the packs be made? Will peace weave its way into the conflict?


~Important Shtuffz and Rules~

1. That back story above happened about half a century ago. It is now a legend that is known to be true.
2. The Ambrosia Pack believes that most wolves are equal, so their ranks are different from most packs.
3. The Nightshade Pack has more strong wolves, and the Ambrosia Pack has more fast wolves.
4. The Ambrosia Pack isn't as spiteful and virulent as the Nightshade Pack about the legend (back story).
5. The current Alpha Female in the Nightshade Pack is not the one in the legend.
6. You can still ask to join even though this is still unapproved.
7. These wolves are wild, so there are no names like 'Car Chaser' or 'Long Road Ahead.' Wolves don't know what cars and roads are! Other than that, feel free to name your character however you want.

Personality: Very fun, loving female, but as speedy as the wind itself when it comes to a battle. Very ferocious kanine.
Description: Reddish-brown coat color. Has white paws, white tip of tail, white belly fur, and small patch of white fur under eye. Has one green eye, one purple eye.

History: AutumnStorm was born from two wolves in the Ambrosia Pack. Her mother was the Alpha female and her father the Alpha male. Her mother was a pure red kanine named Fireheart. Her father was a black kanine with a white tail tip, white paws, white belly fur, and a small patch of white fur under the eye. He was named Moonshadow. Her parents died when she was just a pup so another clan member had to take her on. 1 and a half years after she became old enough to be a warrior, she became pack alpha female. Since then, she has been ruling the pack.

Personality: Like the shadows that lie waiting within the darkness of the night, Noxaura prides herself on slipping through cracks of ignorance and oblivion. With a silver tongue that seems to speak by itself, Noxaura seems to always gets what she wants. And if she doesn't get what she's got her eyes on, Noxaura knows that mercy does no good. With the flick of a paw, her victims are gone. This points out how insensitive she is to things like death and pain. Her ledger may be dripping, but it hasn't stained her soul. Noxaura is often quite lively and bright, squeezing in a sarcastic joke whenever she has the opportunity. Usually, Noxaura hunts around the time that the sun goes down because she blends in with her surroundings. Noxaura is very self-motivated, but instead of working hard, she often relies on using her words. She can get irritated easily, but if she isn't provoked, Noxaura is generally a happy wolf.
Description: Noxaura is a jet black, with thick, glossy fur. She is slim, but not in an unhealthy way. Her ears are always pricked, as Noxaura is always alert and listening to what is going on around her. Her intense gaze is a deep amethyst, and they are set upon a slender muzzle. Her teeth aren't as sharp as her claws. Noxaura's tail is quite thin, but somewhat long.

History: Noxaura was born to the two Alphas of the Nightshade Pack. As soon as she learned what leadership was, Noxaura pounced on the task as if it was her prey. When she was about two years old, the Alpha Female died. Another six months passed, and the Alpha Male died. Neither of these events scarred Noxaura, though. She had turned into a cold, stone hard wolf even before her parents had died.

Personality: Ebony is very secretive, and is afraid of getting close to anyone because of how much her brother Onyx betrayed her before she was accepted into this pack. She no longer puts any trust in others and is known for being very cold. Others know not to bother her, it is obvious something happened, but no one has ever known what it was. Before everything happened she was a very strong and bold female, maybe it's because there were no other females around her age, only males. Never taking no for an answer and never backing down from a fight she was known for her sharp tongue. She also has a very sweet and bubbly side that only Onyx could bring out in her.
Description: She is an ebony black,for that is why she was named that. Her eyes are a deep gold that hold so much sorrow that it is almost depressing to look at her. She no longer shows that strong and bold nature that is locked up deep inside of her. Instead she looks as if every word said to her is piercing her with a knife. She has a very pretty build with strong lean legs and a silky coat.

History: When they were younger, Ebony and Onyx were absolutely inseparable. He was her best friend, and her only support. Their mother died when she gave birth to them, and she was never good enough in her father's eyes. He wouldn't even talk to her, but Ebony never knew it was because she looked so much like her mother it was hard for her father to be reminded of his love. But that just made Ebony stronger, she tried harder and harder but her father would never acknowledge it. Onyx was the one who would praise her, make her feel good about what she had done. Ebony was the quickest hunter, she could smell prey from father away than anyone else and he knew it.
She fell in love with a rouge wolf, and her brother felt so betrayed that she would disobey the pack like that so he turned her in to the alpha and was ordered to ban her and kill the rouge to teach Ebony a lesson. She has never forgiven him and never will for killing her love.

Personality: Onyx is like a bright flame in the darkness of the night. He has a very cold and ruthless nature, but he wasn't always like this(look at History). He used to be quite sweet and outgoing. Now he doesn't show any mercy and isn't willing to let anyone close enough to say otherwise. He won't take no for an answer and if you object to anything he says you will be taught a lesson.
Description: Onyx is a pure black wolf with dark brown eyes that at first glance seem black. He has an almost permanent scowl on his face from his pained past, and his muzzle and paws are often stained with blood. Onyx is extremely large for a wolf, and has the muscle and strength to make himself a force to reckon with. His first ever kill of his own kind was his sister's mate, after that he has had a very bloodthirsty nature. Maybe is someone ever tried to help him, Onyx wouldn't be as cruel as he is today.

Personality: She is a very kind and giving type of wolf, which is a bit unusual for most. She doesn't understand the meaning of 'abandon' or 'leave behind' which is kind of why she was abandoned by her family - she was not a suited heir because any pup born, she would accept regardless. She is always happy to welcome strangers, if they don't appear too dangerous.

Description: She is a hazel - light yellow colored wolf, with bright sunny eyes. She is not too big, but she's not fast either, - only to be very strong. She doesn't usually fight, [especially with enemies] so she appears strong as she is, but she's not very confident in her abilities or being able to hurt another wolf without 'extremely hurting them'.

History: She has no memory of her parents or her old friends when she was little because after she had been abandoned, she fell into a stream - hitting her head on a small rock which did not hurt her badly but drove her unconscious. Waking up, she appeared to have landed somewhere with no memories.

Description: Beautiful and strong, Caedis is red, white and black. She is sleek, well groomed and has a lush coat.
