AMAZONS
The names are heavily based on the Amazons of ancient Greece, so while most names will have various melodic sounds, most names do tend to have a Greek feel to it.
The Amazons are female warriors who lived in an all-female society. They're known for their strength and power, their way of life, and their victories gave them a legendary status. The term Amazon was soon synonymous with female warrior.
Men weren't allowed in the Amazon towns, with the exception of once a year to make sure their tribe didn't go extinct.
The Amazons have been depicted in many modern works of fiction, and their legendary status usually accompanies them, like Wonder Woman.
Even in these modern versions, the Amazon women tend to have Greek or Greek sounding names, like Hippolyta, the queen of the Amazons and mother of Diana, otherwise known as Wonder Woman.

Anthousai names:
Anthousai are flower nymphs, just as dryads are tree nymphs. But unlike dryads, anthousai aren't as well known outside of Greek mythology.
Anthousai have hair that resembles hyacinths, a plant with flowers in vibrant colors ranging from white to blues to purples.
Known anthousai names range are usually either color names or flower names, but we usually named flowers after Greek deities rather than the other way round. This name generator has both flower names and color names, but the flower names are mostly in Latin (as well as English or French depending on your choice below). Colors have their translation in brackets. Gender doesn't seem to matter for names, as Chloris is spelled with the masculine suffix despite being a woman.

Mutant names
Not all names will fit mutants, and not all names will fit normal people caught up in a broken world, but there's plenty of names for both.
Many names will overlap as well, like 'Anomaly', 'Ashes', 'Imp', 'Leech', 'Pickle', and 'Slime' to name just a few. Each of these names could be used for mutants and nicknames, depending on the meaning you put behind it.
The names were mainly created as descriptive or role fulfilling names. Like 'Doc', 'Silence', 'Beak', and 'Feathers'.'Doc' is either a doctor or somebody who really wants to be one. Silence is either a quiet person or a mute. Beak is most likely a mutant with either a real beak or a deformed face making it look like a beak. Feathers could be a mutant with actual feathers or just somebody who dresses up using feathers they found.
Note that while some names will fit X-Men themed mutants, many of the names were created with less fortunate mutants in mind. This is also where the post-apocalyptic theme comes into play. The mutants I had in mind for this generator are simply people who were transformed by some sort of apocalypse.
Quite a few of the names, especially the apocalypse-themed ones, can often be used for duos, like 'Bullet' and 'Bulletproof', 'Daydream' and 'Nightmare' or 'Ash' and 'Soot'.

Barbarian names:
A barbarian could be pretty much anything, it's mostly a term that relies on the eye of the beholder. A barbarian is usually somebody seen as a primitive and often rough and cruel person, so anybody could fit that description, but there are some stereotypes. Vikings are often seen as barbarians, as were many Nordic people. Ancient Mongolians are often seen as barbarians, and so were Native Americans. Since enemies are often seen as barbarians as well, pretty much every group of people has probably been considered to be barbaric.
This generator has a lot of different possible influences for each name, some real, some fictional and some merely because it sounds 'barbaric'. This means there's a wide variety of possible names, so some names will fit a specific culture better than others. Most names do share the same overall feel however, so while not all names would work well together as a single culture, the vast majority of names should still work for many stereotypical barbarian styles, as well as several other styles.

Basilisk names:
Traditionally, a basilisk is a small snake-like creature, sometimes with the head of a rooster, and sometimes merely with a crowned or otherwise crested head. It is capable of causing death with just its stare and is incredibly venomous.
Today, basilisks are often represented as either huge snakes or as huge lizard-like reptiles. I focused on these kinds of creatures more for the purposes of this generator as the traditional basilisk is very similar to the cockatrice, which has its own name generator.
Basilisks don't often have names, but when they do, they're often harsh sounding and with a lot of reptilian-like sounds, so a lot of hisses, guttural sounds and similar tones made with the back of their throat.

Birdfolk names
Birdfolk come in many different forms. There's harpies, tengu, and sirins for example, but there are many different, sometimes mythology-inspired variants as well. Some of these already have their own name generator on this site, and others will likely get them in the future, but this name generator will cover those that tend to stick to the more screechy, bird call-esque names. They work well for most, if not all birdfolk, but some species do work great with a different cultural background, like Greek for harpies. Either way there's a whole lot to pick from in this generator, as well as the other name generators on this site, so you're bound to find something that fits.

bluecap names
Bluecaps are mythological beings in the form of a blue flame. They're found in mines and, if treated with respect, greatly aid miners. They can warn of cave-ins, lead miners to rich mineral deposits, and do jobs regular miners would do. They do require a payment, but no more or less than they are owed. How much they are owed is said to be a regular worker's wage, but this can obviously vary from region to region.

Bounty hunter names:
The names in this generator are mostly meant as bounty hunter nicknames, although some could be used as a real name as well. Bounty hunters generally tend to keep their real name hidden, hence why most names are aimed at an alter ego type of name.
Many names are also related to being anonymous in various ways.

Nekojin names:
Cat-people are, surprise surprise, people with cat features. This can range from simple cat ears to ears + a tail to pretty much anything between that and a feline humanoid.
Nekojin are a popular trope in anime, manga, and other related media, which is why half the names generated in this generator are Japanese.
The other half of the names are names with feline features, often based on the sounds cats make. It's perfectly possible to find Japanese sounding names in here as well though.
