ok, this is an issue currently affecting only one of my hatchlings, and that one is my Oriole Zolnixi Ori.
As you can see in the snip, the genetic philter button is indeed missing

well, it showed up after he was tested, but this isn't the first time this has happened.

i believe filters can only be used on hatchlings after they are tested

possibly, but I've only had this issue twice(both times it was the same species, just different genders and the first one was non-themed)
