So I was think 'Hey, I haven't done a game were it is story based in a while...' So why not make one of my own! And here we are! I have been reading some SF(Space Fantasy) stuff lately, and it will be something like that. Plus, you can earn prizes!

Story Line:
In the galaxies beyond what the people of Earth know lies nine other galaxy to create the nine other realms of Space. These realms are being sought out and explored by the space enthusiast 23burroughsk. She asks you to pick one and explore what lies in it. Choose wisely, once you find one, there is no going back to the Milky Way you knew.

Steps to Get Started:

Pick your Partner:

The Clerk also offers you three packs: Master, Medium, Decent and Unruly

Master: 7500g; gives you everything you need, and your pet listens. These pets also have a guaranteed transport accountability. Plus, you get 7 extra SPECIAL points if you buy it. You will also get a themed pet once they become available(Once my rikki mature unless you want another [themed] pet of mine).

Medium: 3000g; You have the regular amount of everything. You pet will be your transport. And, if you buy this one, you get 4 extra SPECIAL points and an offspring of two pets of mine you choose for me to breed together.

Decent: 1000g; You have just enough. A pet, but no transportation. No extra SPECIAL points. Nothing else except for those privileges.

Unruly: 750; You have the regular amount, but the chance your pet listens to you isn't high. They do account for your transportation, and that only happens when they listen. You will get 1 extra SPECIAL point for your bravery because these pets are known to kill their owners before they reach the destination.

Transportation(Only invest if you got the decent package):

Ship pull(The space version of car pool): 250c-500c per a trip
Buggy(A cheap ship, needs to be fixed 6/11 times): 500c
Adventurer's Beginner Ship(A step in the right direction. No one will see or tamper you as often, but it needs fixed 11/20 times): 1,500c
The Happy Medium Ship(Semi seen, need fixed 1/25 times): 2,500c
Adventurer's Battle Ship(Never needs fixed, and no one sees you since it has a feature of camoflauge): 5,000c

Last Minute Preperations:

You look at your list and find you are missing:

1). A Weapon
You can rely on your Partner or get another weapon.

Weapon Choices:
A Whip(Doesn't do much, but doesn't break. 10 damage): 10c
Sword(Decent choice, breaks after 250 uses. 25 damage): 100c
Steel Sword(Any warrior's dream sword and breaks after 500 uses. 50 Damage): 200c
Creature Claws(Latest in fashion and does 100 damage): 500c

SPECIAL:
In order to get certain discounts or by passes, you must have a certain level of points. A spinner will randomly spin a number 0-10, meaning you could pass it if you have a number equal to or higher than it. You decide how much you put on Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, and Luck. You have thirty points to put on these seven traits.
The Galaxies to Choose from:
Order from easiest to hardest. More dangerous, but, with danger, comes with better rewards. ~23burroughsk

Pancake Land
(2 turns)

The pancake utopia. The easiest and fasted to travel to, the time being 2 turns. The highest prize you can win here is 500c. There are also unique shops to go to buy from or find someone who needs you do to a quest. There are no threats that could really be difficult. The highest attacks would be 20 pts.

Kero!
(2 turns)

Frog land full of space frogs. They can be a bit insane if there is too much moisture, so it is best if you at least buy a rope on one of the shops on the way to the Kero! Cosmos. Also, there is a song called Kero!tto March that plays nonstop, you may want to turn that off if it becomes too annoying(It is an actual song). The trip is 2 turns, the second one having a shop that bustles when people find out about the crazy 'world domination' tendencies of these crazed frogs.

Robot Topia
(3 turns)

Robots raise this and may attack with lousy attempts once you arrive after 3 turns. There is a way to program the robots to be nice to you, and only you since we wouldn't want other people to be getting in the way of your prizes. By doing this, you have free roam, and, if you play your cards right, they may reward you. That's only if you choose the right conversations. Beware Mr. Cuddles the teddy bear robot, he may or may not explode your head off when he hugs too hard...

Bug Paradise
(3 turns)

Giants bugs, that's all I've got to say. Well, I guess I could talk about how they are creepy, but they can be sweet hearts and are close friends. People normally opt out though 'cause of the beady bug eyes.

Pandora's Mess
(4 turns)

A random galaxy with random threats and prizes. Anything can happen, even black holes to other places. It has been rumored people have landed on Havoc's Circle. They did call this an exploration journey, so be ready for the best, or worst in this case.

Dream Land
(4 turns)

A land that may just suck you into their tiring worlds. Fight against sleep or go into the world to save the people. Dealing with the stubborn people who just want to sleep(I can relate) is tough, but they may reward you with some puffadores, as they believe they serve as the best pillow for sleeping. OF course they would reward the traveling with something related to sleep.

Sand Dune Storm
(6 turns)

Sand flies at the speed of light. Light animal are to be fought. If you get a shadow animal, or buy one, these beasts are easier to beat by 20% more attack. The sand makes landing harder with the addition of space raiders being much more common, as the planet is good for a hide out type of place. Almost like another dust bowl with their greed and the killer sand.... Crazy guy: THIS ISN'T A DISCLAIMER! PEOPLE HAVE DIED FROM THE DEADLY AMOUNTS OF SAND! Me: Pft.... People don't really believe that, right?

Fire Temple
(7 turns)

Lava, flames, Fire Monsters. The monsters aren't as bad, but it is considered the second deadliest galaxy. The rewards become as high as 4,500 and only drop to 1,000c. Maybe an encounter with Natsu Dragneel(Not owned by me! All rights go to Hiro Mashima.)....

Havoc's Circle
(8 turns)

The hardest but most rewarding. A land of darkness and unstable land masses fill the planet. Monsters are much more common and deadly, but provide higher gold amounts from 3500c-5,000c. You must have at least a standard or pristine pet. You may even find some hefty amounts of gold or a Sakura Outfit.....

This sounds interesting! I'm still trying to work out the best combination of gear for me. Also, the pet description mentions "charisma skills"; what is that based on?

It was really just a filler. I planned on just using a spinner of the sort, better chances if your female though, and going off of that. If you have an idea, please tell me.

I notice that this is the second time that you have mentioned female players having a better chance of success. I'm wondering if this is going to be a consistent theme in the game. Will there be other tasks which players have a better chance of completing if they are male? I understand why it would make sense story-wise, but I think I am justified in being a little concerned about this kind of game mechanic getting a little out of hand. Also, is "being female" based on the player's gender or the avatar they use, or will we be playing through a character, like an rpg?

Speaking of rpgs, I had imagined based on the description that charisma would be a stat or a skill like in many rpgs (I'm mainly thinking of Dungeons and Dragons or of Skyrim, if you are familiar with either of those). I don't have any experience playing the games that show up in this forum, so I don't know how they typically work or what kind of mechanics you might plan on employing in a game like this. I can see that time is measured in turns, and that success on certain tasks is based on random or semi-random chance. I think I would mostly like an idea of how this game is going to work from a mechanical standpoint. How do turns work, combat, travel, etc.? I do intend to play, I just want an idea of how to do so first. Thanks in advance!

I will try to make it consistent by adding things like barriers you may need help with unless you're a male since they generally tend to do hard working jobs. Of course, anyone could do it. Instead of doing that, and avoiding be discriminatory, I am going to just use a spinner wheel to determine a few things. Strength, Charisma, Agility, Luck, Endurance, Perception, and intelligence. Thank you! I will try to be more clear on that. BTW, the scale of SPECIAL will be from 0-10, modeling off of the Fallout games.

Just to get your opinion, do you think it should be random amounts chosen by a spinner, to make the out or in your favor, or should it sum up to be 30 points and the player can choose?

This is super helpful!

i would let the player choose how to spread out 30 points, as I tend to think that randomly assigned stats can really hurt players who happen to get a little unlucky. Let the game actually get started before they start getting screwed over by the spinner.

Also, how is gender being determined? Is it based on the player, or are we meant to create a character?

Thank you for the advise, and it will be determined by what the player chooses.
