Flare was laying across the Sun Rocks, stretching so he could feel the suns warmth. It was part of his daily routine. Next, he would probably head out to the cluster of dens and check on everyone. As someone who had been trained since birth, he was very conscious of the time.

Solar was patrolling the Moon border, keeping an eye out for stray cats. Because it was the new day, he had to make sure those who slunk in the shadows hadn't crossed the border.

Pluto was sitting in a branch on a tall oak tree, surveying the territory. The black bengal spread his wings as he had gone a little stiff from staying still for so long.

Solar lifted his head, flaring his wings to their full length. "Stay on your side, Shadow Slinker, " he warned her, using the little nickname those in the Sun kingdom called Moon citizens. Because the two of each kingdom never interacted, he didn't know she was of an important rank, much less a princess.

Solar narrowed his eyes, glancing at Fire as the king appeared beside him. He dipped his head and bowed, his wings draping beside him. "Your Majesty, " he greeted Fire.

Solar stayed in position, waiting for Fire's command for him to rise. Still, his eyes narrowed as he heard a second voice. His mind flashed to what the princess said. There were two possibilities. One: the Moon kingdom was announcing war. Two: The princess was betrothed. The second possibility was least likely. The king would have told him, right?
