Hi! Um, I was looking at the generator, and it says I need an Essence to generate. I understand what essences are, but how do I get them?

Unless you have diamonds (Those are another type of currency in the game), mainly through participating in some of the activities we can do during special site events (like the Week of Love coming up next month). Very rarely, you can get them from nurturing eggs & hatchlings and, I believe, fighting enemies (pets and named characters) in a part of the game for high-level (50 and up) players called the Lost Grove (also sometimes referred to as the Megazone). You can get them from other players who put them up for trade or auction, as well.

Sure, no problem 8). One other thing regarding the Lost Grove. You not only need to be at a high user level, but your pets also need to be at Level 65 or higher. Or rather, that is what is recommended.

I feel like this question was more answered with festival essences in mind- there is a very distinct difference between festival essences (used during the four seasonal festivals. Each season has its own particular kind, eg, Frost Essences in Winter for Snowman Building, Seeds in Spring for Sylesti Gardening, and they are only viable in that specific festival and year that they are obtained in)

The question of Generator essences, I'm going to link through to our guide on Generator Essences, post 3, which lists all the ways essences can be obtained for the generator (there's more on non-generator essences, aka festval essences, on post 7)

(also, to access the Lost Grove you just have to have passed a certain point in the story (completed the main storyline as it currently stands) to gain access, so if you somehow managed to beat Vorpar while all your pets were under lv60 you'd still be able to get there, but like. You'd get mauled by the inhabitants of the grove immediately because they are Strong, and lv65 as mentioned)

Scathreoite- Thanks for the extra info 8]. Im still kind of a newbie myself, and havent dealt with making pets via non-festival essences much (only twice, actually), so my knowledge & familiarity with it is a bit lacking :P. Thanks for the clarification about Lost Grove access, too :).
