Is there any way to dose more than one pet per round while battling? I keep getting pwned by Aryth, and being able to dose more than one pet at a time would be a big help.

Nope, it's only 1 item per 2 turns. x: Basically, you use one, then have to wait one turn to use again.
This is to make users rely on their pets more than items to win battles. You might want to have your pets' Mend moves ready before the battle (by battling elsewhere to reset the movecount on Mend/get mana before facing Aryth).
