I think it would be nice if we don't get rare items in the retired avatar item boxes. It's only fair as we weren't allowed to stuff players stockings with rare items, so why should it be in the boxes which we spend our gold, fest tokens and diamonds on?

Some players (newer players for the most part) don't have the rare tier items from retired boxes and the only way they can find them is through those boxes or the trade broker. You can always sell them on the trade broker, via the forums, vendor them or just give them away by sending to another player via trade if you really don't want it. It is literally your choice to spend your gold/tokens/diamonds as you see fit. My best suggestion when buying items that play a game of chance is to consider the possibilities of getting something you want versus something you don't want. If the possibility is terrible, you can always try making a request thread for the item via the item auctions forum.

Sorry, but no support here. Erasing rare items from the boxes would give zero possibilities of newer players getting items they don't have from those boxes.
