So I'm having the unfortunate problem where I already had a Companion Teddy (Saint Nick) in my wardrobe.

I figured no harm done, and went to see if my original was tradeable. According to the text that came up when I hovered over it in my wardrobe it was - fantastic! I brought it out though, and it immediately fused into a non-tradeable stack with my shiny new advent calendar bear.

Are all of these bears untradeable by nature, and the wardrobe description a mistake? Is the system stacking things it shouldn't?

I'd love to be able to at least give one of these away to someone who doesn't get a chance to log in today and keep the new one from having to sit in my inventory until the end of time, or just having to sell it for nothing to free that space.

Advent Calendar makes Avatar items a weird mix.

Any specific item from the Advent Calendar comes as No Tradeable. This is just how it's coded.

However, adding an item to your Wardrobe essentially 'destroys' that item. When you reclaim it from the Wardrobe, it creates a brand new item. Almost all Avatar items, including some of the special ones that the Advent Calendar gives away, are tradeable.

Thus the situation you experienced.

In your situation there really is not a way around it. You can just sell the No Trade version for 5000 Gold (I added a Gold value to it).


I actually didn't even mean to give away the bear as a reward for this year's calendar. I put in the wrong ID # lol. =\ But it's too late now as too many have been claimed... there'd be no real feasible/fair way to change it at this point.

It wasn't meant to be? Well, I guess that explains why we already have one unlocked in the wardrobe. My unasked question, answered.
