Also a good suggestion is to have some general colors and then on color that really pops, a good example is the redwood grifs. It's a very neutral color pallet but the blues pop

Also rmbr the colors must work with the majority of the traits, you can have 1-2 that don't fit as well if there are a lot but your aim is for all colors to look nice
