I want to start a breeding project with restricted traits, but I don't know how they work. Do they add traits, override the ones that are there, or both? And can you use them on generated pets?

but to sum up:

> Cannot be used on Generated pets, but all others* are free game

> uses the Trait points of a Visible trait to give the pet a random trait from the set (thus the pet loses one visible trait to gain a Restricted trait). The pet MUST have at least one visible trait.
> It cannot use carried traits- slots with carries are locked out of the disruptor's selection.
> If a pet has carries in all the slots of the disruptor's trait set, it cannot work
> It cannot use other resteicted traits- other restricted traits cannot be overwritten, and are locked out of the disruptor's selection,

> they can not be used on a pet that already has a trait of that set in its genetics (vis, hidden, or carried)

So it can be used on bred pets, right? And if I breed my generated pets, I can use the disruptor on their offspring?

yes, that's what we said. As long as it's not a Generated pet or a Majestic/Majestic PB, it can be disrupted.
