bother. Guess we're doing this the hard way.

I fly down towards its nest, spear out again.

Suddenly, a small squeak makes you stop.

An egg hatched from the nest it was gaurding, and a baby Rex crawled over to it. The parent looked at it and nuzzled it lovingly.

(I was actually threatening the mother, not the babies. I wasn't going to do anything to them, just scare the mother into getting away from my people.)

So that means she is no longer going towards my people?

(please don't say something makes me stop. I'd like to be in charge of what my character does. You could tell me I'm surprised by a tiny squeak-noise from the nest.)

(My bad. And I knew that you were going for the mom. And its not leaving. You guys actually walked into its territory. With its nest. Its not going anywhere.)

The mother nudged the other eggs as they began to crack.

(I mean is it still going after the group?)

I stow my spear and watch it, warily.

(No. It was scaring them away. They thought it wanted to eat them.

The Rex looked at you, eyeing your spear nervously.

I back off.

It curled its tail around the exit, wanting you to stay. It was still scared of that spear, though.

I drop my spear, but stay close enough that if I'm threatened I can get it.

I stop backing away.
"Is there a reason you want me to stay here?"

The baby Rex was watching you.
