A while ago, sorry I dont remember when, I didnt know about this thread back then, I had I think it was 700 or so scales and I was saving up to get a lesser mutator from the scales shop. I nurtured a sylesti and then I had gained 1000 scales, it was nice and I wouldnt mind it happening again, but Im pretty sure thats not supposed to happen.

On some pages, if you leave them open for awhile and earned Scales and come back to that page - at first it will still display your old count. But then once you take an action on that page, it will update to the new count. So it may appear like you jumped from 700 to 1000.

Earning Scales from nurturing is just a simple "+1" in the database, so there shouldn't be a way to earn more than 1 at a time for a single nurture. And each nurture has to be verified so it isn't possible to nurture the same pet more than once within a 24 hour period.

I just assume that this was just a display thing, but thank you for reporting it.

Well, the thing is that after that I tried to buy a lesser genetic mutator, and it let me do that.

Depending on when this happened, it might also have been from the Summer festival task list. If you nurtured 1,000 sylesties over the course of the festival, you got 1,000 extra scales for free. Just, the OP mentioned it happened a while ago, so thought that might have been the case.

Well, I'm pretty sure that it was during the Summer Festival, but I'm still not sure...
