So I had this idea for a project, kinda started off in a guessing mode cause i'm an idiot, I tried starting it.... but I don't understand anything about making a project or if I'm going about it correctly..
Here's what my project is for
Now here are the pets I started with... having No clue what I was doing.
My questions are... are these pets a waste? Can I use them in a certain order........how could this Project actually work out? Or is it impossible?

Aww, that's not true! It is confusing. First of all, how many traits does your project have?

You mean 8 tp not 8 vis, one visible trait take 2 tp while a carry take only 1 tp. So far your project look good, it may be a bit difficult for you to get multiple carry offsprings as you made visible parent but it also mean that the visual traits will automaticly be given as carry on their offspring.
By using one of your 1 vis parent with a 2 carry one you should have greater chance to get a 3 carry puppy, once you have that you will only have to breed it with the other 1 vis parent until you get yourself a 4 carry. Once you get a 4 carry offspring this will be the visual game, keep all females that have more then 1 carry for that.
Basicly this is what the first set of generations should generaly look like, keep in mind that you will nead more females then male to increass your chance of getting a pair that are not too closely related to mate in the end. The only offsprings that will be given in that exemple will be the best possible outcome, don't be desapointed if you don't get it the first time a project can take alot of time to compleat.
(Ch: Chip, Co: Cookie, P: Pie, D : Dough)
gen 1
Ch + D = ChD (g1g2 m1)
P + Co = PCo (g1g3 m1)
gen 2
ChD (g1g2 m1) + P = ChDP (g1g2g3 m1)
PCo (g1g3 m1) + D = PCoD (g1g2g3 m1)
OR
gen 2
ChD (g1g2 m1) + PCo (g1g3 m1) = *insert the name/letters you want here* (g1g2g3 m1)
Ch + D = ChD2 (g1g2 m1)
P + Co = PCo2 (g1g3 m1)
...
(and generaly i alwais end up with rendom letters to remember who don't go with who at this stage, it keep going until you get two 4 vis compatible and in the best case of opposite genders)
While some of the colors are a bit off i would advise you to fix them only once you get your final breeding pair as there is alwais a slight color swing on the offsprings, this will allow you to save dyes on your project as whiteish colors flaws tend to be alot more noticeable.
If you have any other question / if you don't understand somthing dont be shy to ask ^-^
