How do I separate stacks of items?

You hold down the (I think left) shift key when you click the item stack, and then click an empty slot.

@Roshan,
Shift+ click item then chose a different slot and it will ask how you want to split

Trust me I had the same problem trying to figure it out. I actually had to send a pm to Faiona asking how to do it so I could gift a friend ONE of the two Nytekrie essences I owned at the time(after mistakenly sending them both for free)

Maybe they should have a button for it or tell you how to do it somewhere in the inventory?

The funny thing is, it DOES tell you how to do it. XD In absolutely tiny text above the tabs.
