As a fellow author, I can assure writer's block always passes with so many story ideas you forget half of them. but here's some.
You've benn cursed for a hundred years, trapped inside a mighty tree. Anyone else would have died from such magic, but you are a wood elf, a force of nature in your own right. But the world you knew is gone. The age of elves has passed, and now a dark shadow sits over your world, which is now rules by savage *insert name of evil species here*. Only a special magical relic can destroy them and save your kind from the edge of destruction - but it sits in the heart of the enemy's lair.

I'd say suspense like if there is a secret agency tracking down someone nonstop, I'm getting this from the Pegasus Series, no matter how many times I read the books I can't put them down.

What Interest me the most in a book is anything that has good character development and good character back stories also anything that has dragons and magic I just like fantasy books a lot.
