I think I may have made a mistake. I got a genetic philter from the slot machine game (yay!), so I used it on one of my pets using the "Genetic Philter" button in his info page. It accepted it, and now there's a "This pet has been genetically altered" icon in his info page... but it didn't do anything!

Is this a bug, or do I have to wait until he breeds for anything further to happen?

@Zirikana,

Not all mutations will be visible. You should try and have the pet Genetically Tested.

Aha! That did it. I wasn't sure if i'd get to choose the mutations or not, but i'm happy.

Thanks!

Currently there is no way to buy them with gold, but they are planned to be sold for gold in the future.
The Diamond (Real money) shop has testing kits with unlimited uses.

Otherwise ask a user who has a testing kit to test for you, but you would need to send them the pet in order to get the test done.
