ember looked at the small chick with wide eyes and a startled face. "uuuhhhhh, i-i" she thought the chick was cute, but she did not want to hurt it. "I-I'll try." she said as the cute chick peeped at her. She thought for a moment then had the idea to make small talk to keep her mind pre-occupied. "so, where are you from? who are your parents? Oh, let me know if i ask anything that bothers you or that you prefer not to answer"

Bev thought for a moment before answering. "I'm from the outskirts of a big city called Librile.", Bev answered," My mother is Ruby James; The head mistress. My father was killed by a normal when I was just five.". She Waited for another question.

A bit stunned, ember replied "oh, I'm so sorry. I know how you feel." Then, all of the sudden, a small flash. In ember's place was a cup. The cup said "I'm so sorry, how embarrassing. Forgive me. One moment." *grunts a bit* then another small flash. Ember was back in her former position. "I had no idea. I should be more sensitive. Please forgive me. I meant no intrusion or harm to you." She threw a blanket over her head in shame.

Bev was surprised, she looked over. "Oh, no. Your fine! don't feel guilty!", She said franticly, she didn't mean to be a downer. She dipped her head in embarrassment. " Please tell me your next question, I'll answer them all.".

"I feel this is unfair, you answerong all my questions. I am most assuredly getting the benefit. I'm learning about you yet to you I am still but a stranger." She said lifting her head from the covers with an awkward smile.

"Oh, well where are you from?", Bev asked looking at her room mate. She pulled up a chair as the soup boiled. She began to listen. "How about we just go back and forth?", Bev said happily.

"Sounds good to me. I'm from a snowy mountain region which my people call kiyiya. In English this means howling wolf. My turn, what is your favorite class?"

"Interesting.", She said," My favorite subject is ether art or biology. what's yours?". Bev leaned in smiling. The chick hopped onto her lap, peeping happily. Its white, fuzzy feathers ruffling. Bev began to gently pet its chin and breast.

"Ooh, tough one. I'll have to say.... Got it, gym" she said with a silly grin on her face. "Here is my next question, what is your favorite food." She said as she watched be pet the small chick.
