One ring to rule them all, one ring to find them; one ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them...
Ignore the mutterings of a of the crazy elf in the corner... who is me... Anyhow, if you're any sort of fan you'll recognize those crazy mutterings. Anyone want to to a LOTR-based RP? My vague, general (crazy) plotline is: some (crazy) person (elf, human, whatever) wants to take all the rings, even though The Ring was destroyed, and forge them all together to make a new Ring even more powerful than Sauron's ring. (the and in the darkness bind them part). Anyway, if anyone wants to, ping me!

I'd like to do this, sounds way better than any of the things I usually dream up in the LOTR part of my brain.

Cool! Maybe something like descendants of various characters? I made this a while ago and now am writing a fanfic... but a RO would be awesome for ideas. My story starts off with Sam (50 years after it all started) leaving Middle-Earth for the Undying Lands, but without him knowing it, his youngest son (named Frodo) follows him. That is as far as I have gotten, though...

Uhhhhh...trying to rack my brains for what all was going on fifty years later...ah forget my memory, I've got a handy timeline in the back of my copy, let's see...
Ok, Sam leaves 61 years after Frodo, though nobody saw him so it's just a tradition, that was the year Rosie died, and nothing else is mentioned until two years later when Merry and Pippin go to Gondor and Rohan for the last time. Aragorn didn't die for another 57 years, so Legolas and Gimli hadn't left yet.
We can totally forget canon timelines and mess it all up if we want.

If you still look for people for a LOTR RP, I'm up for it too! I'm a huge fan. (Though maybe it could make me annoying :p )

The characters in my story are Aragon (son of Aragorn), Ceridwen (daughter of Legolas AFTER he leaves), and some others, but the main one is Frodo, Sam's son, his yougest child and only one who hasn't moved away to start their own families, and Rosie died, so Sam feels it's time to leave. But you, apparently, are the timeline expert. We can just dump all my people... your choice and Enyo's.
