As the title says, I need some help with breeding. I'm starting a max stat project. Here is my design, the Blood Warrior Ny'vene:

I started off with a pair of 11 GP regenerable Ny'venes. Meet Ripred and Lapblood. Because they are both 11 GP, I had to use 5 vis and one carry. I thought it would be a good idea for the carry to be in different slots, so their offspring has a higher chance to be 6 vis. I put Ripred's carry in M3 for Essence of Storms, while Lapblood's carry is in M2 for Battle Helm. And I guess it was a good idea, Razor here has the correct traits. (And I'm pretty sure Fangor will too, but he's still a hatchling right now.)

But to actually start the statting part, I need to have at least one more pair because closely related pets can't be bred. I recently got 5 more regens, 1 male (9 GP) and four females (two have 9GP and two have 8GP). This is where I need advice: what is the best way to use the gene points?

The traits are Dilopho Markings, Magma Runes, Nebula, Battle Armor, Battle Helm, and Essence of Storms.

Hi Lamprey! Good luck with your project!^^

Hmm... breeding 3vis3carries (9tp) together might take a while (unless you're lucky!)...

But if Ripred and Lapblood have three 6vis offspring:

(Razor, Fangor, and RipLap female)

Fangor can breed with Regen female(s) until you get a 6vis male and female. (Regfang m & f)

Then Razor----Regfang f & Regfang m----Riplap f would be your starting pairs for statting!

Razor and Fangor are unable to breed with each other because they have the same parents. Im assuming that Fangor is 6-vis for the sake of simplicity If hes not, Id suggest breeding Lapblood and Ripred together until you get another male Fangor who is 6-vis.

The simplest way (but also the way that is left to chance the most) would be to take your new male (labelled A) and females (labelled B, C, D and E) (assuming that they can breed with one another) and try to get a 6-vis pair (like Razor and Fangor) with the father A and mother B, C, D or E. To avoid potentially breeding conflicts and/or confusion Id stay away from Lapblood and Ripred. Well call them Cheese and Pasta for the sake of example.

So eventually youll have four 6-vis as follows:

Razor (F) who wont be able to breed with Fangor but will be able to breed with Pasta
Fangor (M) who wont be able to breed with Razor but will be able to breed with Cheese
Cheese (F) who wont be able to breed with Pasta but will be able to breed with Fangor
Pasta (M) who wont be able to breed with Cheese but will be able to breed with Razor

So youd breed them with the partner they can breed with until youve got a male and female offspring from each pair and then you do the same again.

For example if:
- Razor and Pasta have offspring named Duke and Duchess; and
- Cheese and Fangor have offspring named Sir and Madam,
then:
Duke and Madam can breed
Duchess and Sir can breed
So youd breed them with the partner they can breed with until youve got a male and female offspring from each pair and so on

In the event of two 11-point regens the simplest way would be to breed the two together (like you've been doing with Lapblood and Ripred) to get your 6-vis.

Because I now have two 11-points, should I simply not use the 8 and 9 point ones?

I wouldn't use the 8 and 9 point ones, unless you want to save some gold (but just double-check that your two 11 point ones are able to breed with each other) or keep them for something else.

If you're comfortable to use the 11 points I'd just set them up something along the lines of the following:

First Vene
G1 visible
G2 visible
G3 visible
M1 visible
M2 visible
M3 carried

Second Vene
G1 carried
G2 visible
G3 visible
M1 visible
M2 visible
M3 visible

(It doesn't matter where you put the carried and the visible but I would avoid putting the carried in the same spot for both of them.)

I already regenned the 9 point male, but I might as well keep the female 8/9 points which I haven't regenerated yet.

The new 11 points have been set up so the carry is in M2 for one and M3 in the other.

Thank you so much for the advice! but it's kinda late and I should go to sleep now.
