Eggs show up at random, and are a rare occurrence. Be prepared to get into a lot of fights when explore prompts ask if you want to pull aside things or investigate things, because that's usually what it is.
They're more obvious in the third region and festival zones, where the explore structure is completely different- they can spawn in nodes instead of boxes/chests/etc.
With pet rarity, there are six levels of rarity, and they aren't necessarily visible traits- you can only see carried and hidden (basically, carried traits, but hidden under a more dominant visible trait) traits in a pet's genetics if it's been Genetically Tested.
Common rarity, 0 Trait Points
- no traits
- found everywhere, caught with anything
Uncommon rarity, 1 Trait Point
- 1 carried trait
- found everywhere, caught with anything
Rare rarity, 2 Trait Points
- 2 carries, or 1 visible
- found everywhere, caught with standard or stronger snares
- All Themed pets are this rarity or higher
Epic rarity, 4 Trait Points
- 4 carries, or 2 carries/1visible, or 2 visible
- found from Umbra Forest on, and Fest Zones, caught with strong or Master snares
Legendary rarity, 6 Trait Points
- 6 carries, or 4 carries/1 visible, or 2 carries/2 visible, or 3 visible
- found from Astryl's Vale on, and Fest Zones, caught with Master snares
Mythical rarity, 8 Trait Points
- 4 carries/2 visible, or 2 carries/3 visible, or 4 visible
- found from Astryl's Vale on, and Fest Zones, caught with Master snares |
