The two girls looked at each before shrugging, "I dunno..." the two said in unison.

Myra smiled nervously. *alright. I guess Ill just tell you about my offer.* then she sat up, serious again.

*the Greeks saw me as another goddess. Artemis, goddess of the hunt and women. She had a group of followers, who were all women. They were all sworn to being single, and in return they were immortal, young, and great hunters. Now, I have followers, but different rules. They can date, and marry, but cannot bear children. They are immortal, and can take the form of themselves, but in any age. They can die if they are bored of life and wish to move on. They can live normal lives and be happy, but must come at my call. And we dont hunt game, unless for a festival or holiday, like Christmas we hunt reindeer or something. Then we feast on it, and sacrifice extra food to the gods. We dont hunt for fun. We hunt animals that threaten the lives of others, like a giant mutant bear, for example, without hurting the food chain. We dont hunt every bear in existence, after all. That would be catastrophic. But we hunt large creatures normal mortals cant kill, or animals that ruin the lives of others creatures or mortals. And, listen.

You two are brave, kind, and have crazy amounts of love for others. So I ask you this.

Do you wish to become immortal, and join my followers? If you decline, you can go back to the alley with Pyro and Coral, and be happy. However, if you change your minds, just call my name and say you wish to join. If you accept, you shall come with me for a 2 week training, and then go back to Fire Cave and wait for my call.* she seemed slightly nervous, but also like she would accept your answer and be your friend.

*the reason I cant ask Pyro or Coral this, is because Pyro is male, and that would break our code. I cant ask Coral either, because they have that kid, Hearth. And she seems too... motherly to hunt. But you... you have the drive, the heart, and the determination. I believe you can do it. I have made exceptions for males or women with children before, but Pyro and Coral do not have the qualities I would notice and allow for an exception.*

(What if one of them does join?)

Pyre and Taika looked at each, "I... no." Pyre said softly, Taika, on the other hand, gave a small nod, "I'll join, I want to help protect others, I have no real family anywhere, but I want to use my magic more than just for practice."

Myra nodded. *Pyre, I understand, and respect your decision. If you change your mind, look to the sky - the actual sky, not through a window or something - and call my name. Taika, take my hand.* she held out her hand, which began glowing softly. *it might hurt a bit.*

Pyre nodded with a smile, Taika nodded and put her hand in Myra's hand with a smile on her face.

Taika hand glowed for a bit, before it died and had a symbol on it. It looked like a human eye, but the pupil was a triangle.

Myra smiled. *that is my symbol. I see things in my warriors. Now, Taika, do you wish to join me for training now, or say goodbye and come in one week?*

"I'll come in one week, I want to tell the others and explore the island a bit with them." Taika explained with a smile.

Myra nodded. *i understand. Do you need anything from me?*

Taika shook her head, "I can't think of anything, so no."

Myra smiled and sniffed. *thank you for being my freinds.* she actually seemed to be crying.
