(One male spot open in sign ups)

Your eyes open as the sun beats down on you. The heat of it feels like daggers on your skin, you bring your hand up to shield your eyes from its painful glare. You have been traveling with a small band of recruits much like yourself. You look around and wonder at the diversity of your small troop. In Alanthia most keep to themselves; races are separated. Elves never live with humans, Humans never live with dwarves- so on and so forth. Furthermore the races are normally separated by class within themselves; upper, middle, and lower class rarely intermingle, unless of course you are a merchant or a guard. But here in your group you all congregate together. It is an odd sight. You think back to the first time you saw all races intermingled. It was the day you enlisted to be a knights apprentice....

It's not long before your guide points out the gates to the great city Elzinbar, the capital city of Alanthia. You look up at the great gate. It blocks out the sun which makes the gold on the gates glitter like a thousand small suns. The gold sets off the midnight blue of the tapestries hanging from its great towers.

The city has a lot more water than you expected there are many canals filled with crystal clear water unlike most places outside the capitol city which have dirty water that smells of sewage and death. But with no other source of water it is what is commonly used to wash clothes food and to bathe. The capitol city is all glitter and glamour compared to most other places. You follow your guide through the streets of the city until you reach what is obviously the kings castle. The guards nod to you as you walk by.

Quinn pulled her hood farther down her face as she passed the guards. They eyed the cloaked girl with slight suspicion. She surveyed the regal looking room.

She had entered a large domed area, with high arched windows pouring sunlight into the room. The bright light blinded her vision momentarily, causing her to blink several times. Looking around, Quinntalia could see that several large tapestries and paintings adorned the walls. They were the most majestic and elegant things Quinn had ever seen, and the pure beauty of the artwork could even put the best artists in the elven cities to shame. They were scenes of nature, war, fantasy creatures, and much more. Gems of every name and color decorated the golden walls, stretching from the high and towering ceiling, down to the soft and deep rose red carpet.

Sitting in the center was a throne- it was made of gold, embedded with jewels of every name and color. Now upon it sat the man everyone knew as the King.

He was tall, with rich red robes and a golden crown. His olive skin matched with his long brown beard and mustache, and he held a sword at his side. He eyed each of them for a few seconds- she ducked a bit, although her height was already less than most her age.

The dark haired woman carried herself as regally as possible as she made her way into the throne room. Faelen paid no mind to the marvelous detail of the throne room, but her eyes fixed ahead on the king and his throne. She noted how he was surrounded by many guards, then snorted.

No one is going to make an assassination attempt in a room full of people loyal to the king. But then again- the other kingdom may be targeting the king. Kill him and it's most likely over. She scanned the room once again to see if anyone stood out.

There were about fifty other recruits in the room here- she figured they had been taking small groups at a time to split them into units. She sighed to herself, then turned back to the front of the room.

Archer was standing closer to the front of the room. He felt somewhat self-conscious, standing with the other warriors- all of which who seemed rather worthy just by a quick glance. He glanced down at his dull, somewhat tarnished armor and sighed.

People were still entering the room so he just took a moment to look around. The soldiers were speaking to the King and it seemed rather important, so he just looked for someone to talk to. There were plenty of people but he was unsure who would want to speak with him right now.

I slipped in hopefully unnoticed into the throne room and stood in the back away from all the others. I had no way of knowing if they knew about me and my family and the bounty on my head. I scanned the room quickly taking in all of my surroundings. I panicked when I noticed other elves of a high status and just had to hope they couldn't see my face or my lavish clothing. I severely regretted wearing this because I did not completely think it through.

-Cereul-
Entering the room, Cereul has never seen so much people in one place before. But then probably it's because they haven't seen more than family and family friends, oh snap out of that nervous talk! Edging towards a corner, they fidget with their clothes nervously. Would people mistake them for those black magic castors? Would they even want Cereul among their ranks?
Everyone seemed to get along so easily, merrily laughing with each other. That made them even more anxious, are they expected to talk to people? That scared Cereul more than anything, sure they were diplomatic but had they spoken to anyone other than family for the past 19 years? no. Everyone seemed so sure in them selves. The architecture was interesting though, so Cereul decides to busy them self by staring at the structure and away from any contact with anyone at all.

I slowly and hopefully discreetly back up into a corner but I ended up bumping into someone. "Oh I am so sorry I did not mean to do that." I say to the female elf I had bumped into.

Yeat stood behind one of the human who was glancing around the room. He guess the human was nervous as for one, being close in front were you could easily see the king. Second, he might of feel left out, so to say. Or rather feeling out of place. Mostly because of his equipment. Yeat too was containing similar feelings as the human.

Yeat was wearing a black cloak, with his family guards clothes. It wasn't much quality compare to the official knights nor did having his charkam on his side helped him at all. So what will he do...

"So. What brings you to become an apprentice Knight?" Yeat question Archer behind him.

The sun beat down on him as he made his way up the castle steps towards the gate. The dark green cloak he worse had the hood drawn up on it, just to be safe. He didn't belong here...more so than either race. He was a half breed, hated even more than either of the others. Cassimer didn't care though, not really anyways. Even his own parents seemed to dislike him a little. Once at the gigantic door of the castle he pushed it open without waiting to be let in. The throne room was vast though a few people dotted it already. Hopefully he wasn't too late.
