The day is June 22, the first day of summer vacation. The creek is now more crowded with kids than ever, and it's a clear sunny day.

"Hey, 'Ren, lets go! c'mon! it's summer vacation! Let's get to our hangout spot!" Autumn shouted into the back yard of her friend's house, waiting impatiently for the careful girl.

"I'm here, Autumn, I just had to make sure I have everything we'd need, don't forget to put on bugspray, my mom says she found a tick on Bean yesterday, and she says ticks can temportarily paralyze you, or make you allergic to meat" Serenity said as she came out, closing the fence behind her as the two departed into the woods

Asha grabbed her bag and put a leash on her dog, Papy. She started walking to the creek, a look of excitement in her eyes. Today Im Gonna make some friends Papy! Yep! Im gonna do exactly that! She said. She giggled. Dont worry Papy, you will always be my best friend. she said, smiling down at the dog.

"Ren! perfect rock!" Autumn said, picking up a perfectly smooth and round rock in the stream, handing it over to Serenity, who closely inspected it.

"Good find, so, what were we planning on doing today?" Serenity asked her friend, putting the rock into a pocket of her purse.

Finally its summer vacation!Thought Leah as she set off towards the Swap Shop with her bag full of stuff to trade. She stopped near the stream sewing someone she knew "Autumn is that you?" She called out,she only knew Autumn because they were in the same grade

Autumn and Serenity turned, hearing the girl calling for Autumn.

"Oh, hey Leah! what's up!" Autumn called out before turning to Autumn. "That's Leah, she was in my class" Autumn said to Serenity.

"Oh, that's nice, we should go over and say hello, maybe we'll run into some other of your classmates, or maybe mine" Serenity said, leading the way over to Leah

"Nothing much I'm just heading to the Swap Shop , where you guys going ?" She said as Autumn and Serenity walked over to her "It's a nice day isn't it" she said trying to start up a conversation.

"Well, I was going to try and find Murph, or maybe one of the caped masqueraders, I don't know, I just want to figure out anything about those people, maybe even join them, they're so cool!" Autumn said, twirling around as they walked

Asha stopped and hid behind a tree as she neared the stream. She suddenly was terrified. She didnt think she could actually hold a conversation with anyone. She nervously reached into her bag and pulled out a piece of candy. She sat down against the tree and pulled her dog close. Tears streamed down her cheek. Papy barked happily, trying to cheer her up.

Leah heaRd the sound of someone cries so she looked behind the tree the sound was coming from and saw Asha " Are you ok ?" She asked.
