I've looked for some kind of guide to this, and I guess there must be one, but I'm not seeing it? I really don't get how genes work here. Like, I just caught this rare bulbori, and doesn't rare mean that it should have genes or mutations? But it doesn't have any. https://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=4046250

And some pets I've looked at have different colored fonts for gene names. What does that mean?

I have so many questions....

it's because 'rare'/blue stars means 'has two trait points', not 'has a visible trait'.

We explain the text colours here, but basically, the bulbori has two carried traits that you can't see in her genetics because she hasn't been genetically tested.
