Anyways, i saw a thread that someone said about why people inbreed and i was like, what's inbreeding? Is it like the opposite of purebred? or something?

Well, i don't do breeding much, so i don't know much about it anyways...

Inbreeding is exactly what it is in the real world, though the stat on sylestia is just an interest point that has no negative affect on sylesti.

To hijack a dictionary definition: "... the mating of individuals or organisms that are closely related through common ancestry..."

While Sylesti cannot breed with their immediate family- parents, children, siblings, half-siblings- they can breed with grandparents and cousins, which means you get sylesti who have sylesti appearing multiple times in their Lineage.

Lots of Project sylesti- including Theme Purebreeds and Max Stats- are inbred, as without the potential drawbacks that real life has as a result of it, it's the best way to get and fix visible traits and get higher stats with a lower need for Philters.

And example: one of our own Max Stat Purebred Gazania Nytes, who only has four great-grandparents instead of eight.
