Since I m new and i don't know much this is my first contest playing on this game and so I could like some themed pets but I don't know how to play the game. I just don't understand it.

Hi Horses, and welcome to Sylestia!
There are two contests and everyone is automatically entered in them
The battling contest - to score in this you have to fight everything in the festival zone, accessed through 'Explore - Seasonal Festival'. You don't have to fight the named bosses if they are too hard. The scoring is based on your team. So if you have a qitari in your team you score 1 point on the qitari board for every enemy you beat, if you have 2 qitaris then 2 points. If you have, say a qitari and a zolnixi, you score a point on each of those boards every time you defaet an enemy.
The nurture contest is all about nurturing eggs and hatchlings - every time you nurture you score a point on the board for the species you are nurturing.
