I've gotten tired of making a different thread for each story. So I'm just rewriting and writing new ones here. Please don't post on this thread, I might make another thread for comments.

The Supernaturalists
This is based off the RP called The Sound Of Silence

Veronica Westfall was driving home from work when the storm started to gather. She glanced out of the window at the rapidly darkening clouds.
I hope it doesn't rain. she thought, then realized how silly that was. At least not until I get home. she added, checking the sky again. Almost instantly, a light drizzle began falling on her car and collecting on the windows. Veronica turned the windshield wipers on, squinting at the road made hard to see through the growing rain, dark clouds, and the setting sun. She sighed. Not like she had really thought the rain would hold off. She wasn't very worried. It rained a lot here, worse than this, sometimes.
"I've been in worse storms than this," Veronica murmered. She was about to see just how wrong she was.

She heard the thunder before she started to notice the lightning. Nothing odd about that - rainstorms often had lightning and thunder. But something, a sixth sense, perhaps, picked up on something odd. It made Veronica feel uncomfortable, anxious, even. Then she began to notice small things. The lightning being too bright, the rain slightly oily-looking, the thunder ringing for too long.

She was glad when she saw her street at least, and went to turn onto it. As she did, the hairs on the back of her neck stood up, a shiver ran down her spine, and a sense of dread filled her. Veronica accidently jerked the weel, and that action quite possibly saved her life. The lightning struck right where the car had been, the car that flew off the rain-slick road and landed sideways in a ditch. Veronica was thrown against the door and glass pieces from the window her head had struck sliced her face. She hung limply as her brain and body struggled to comprehend what had just happened. Then Veronica jolted as she remembered.
The lightning - I... I... I crashed!
She forced herself to concentrate, willed her heart to slow. She was a member of the military, not a soldier, true, but trained to be steady, calm, and in control. Wincing, Veronica ripped her seatbelt off and pushed herself out of the wreckage of the car. Miraculously, she had escaped serious injury, only scrached and sore. She walked numbly out into the road in the vain hope that someone could come and help her. She stopped on the blackened patch where the lightning had struck. It was steaming and - were those purple sparks dancing around it?

Veronica lifted her head to to the sky, and let the cool rain soothe her scrapes. Then the sky grew bright, and lightning arced down toward the exact same spot is had hit only moments before. The spot that was now occuppied by Veronica Westfall. She didn't even have time to scream before the violet-tinged bolt knocked her to the ground senseless.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Skyledge for a clan meeting," Swiftstar's voice rang out over the SkyClan camp. Warriors settled in, and apprentices shoved each other for room in the front. A sleek queen slid out of the nursery, shooing her kits back inside.

Swiftstar flicked his black and white tail, then began, "I have called you here for the apprentice ceremony of the two kits who turned six moons old this week." He paused and gestured for Brookstripe to bring her kits forward. Birchfall, their father, watched them proudly. One of the kits was golden with darker tabby markings, and they other was silvery grey. They both had black paws, ears, and tail tips, and were appropriately named Sunkit and Moonkit, respectfully. Sunkit bounced up and downexcitedly , while her sister Moonkit was quiet and thoughtful. They walked up to the base of the Skyledge, and Swiftstar continued, addressing them this time.

"Sunkit. From this day until you earn your warrior name, you will be known as Sunpaw." The newly named 'paw looked at all the warriors, wondering who would teach her.
"Your mentor will be Kestrelflight," he continued, and the golden eyed, reddish brown warrior stepped up to the appprentice. Swiftstar smiled at both of them. "Kestrelflight, you are fierce and brave, and I trust you to teach young Sunpaw well."
Kestrelflight turned toward Sunpaw and rested her head on the smaller cat's brow, giving her a reasurring lick. Sunpaw relaxed greatly at the touch, leaning into her mentor. Then Swiftstar called Moonkit forward.
"Moonkit, it seems that Leafdapple believes that you could make a great medicine cat, and she tells me you seem interested in this path as well."
At the leader's words, Leafdapple walked over to the silver kit and whispered ssomething in her ear.
Moonkit looked boldly up at Swiftstar. "I wish to study the path of a medicine cat." she mewed, her voice steady.
Swiftstar nodded. "Then from this day until you earn your medicine cat name, you will be known as Moonpaw. Leafdapple, teach her all you know so that she may serve her clan to the fullest of her abilities." And with those words, the leader took a step back and the clan began to cheer.
"Sunpaw! Moonpaw! Sunpaw! Moonpaw!" they chanted. "Sunpaw! Moonpaw!"

___________________________________________________________________________

"Kestrelflight, what will we do now?" asked Sunpaw, practically bursting with excitement. Kestrelflight contained a purr watching the new apprentice.
"We can go on a tour of the territory, since you haven't seen it yet." she cast a glance at where Leafdapple and Moonpaw were talking. "You should go ask Leafdapple if she'll let Moonpaw come before she gets trapped up in that smelly den of hers."
Sunpaw nodded in agreement. "How any cat can stand spending their life learning about plants, I have no idea." she purred, then bounded over.
"Moonki- paw!" Sunpaw called. "It's going to take some getting used to, calling you Moonpaw!" she exclaimed. "Leafdapple, can my sister come with Kestrelflight and me on a tour of the territory?"
Leafdapple paused before nodding. "I need to stock up on marigold and feverfew, anyway." she said, and led the way over to where Kestrelflight sat waiting.
"Hey, Sunpaw!" someone behind her mewed, and Sunpaw whirled around to see Rowanpaw, a white-gold apprentice with a smokey grey and black swirling marking across the side of his face and along his neck, flowing down his shoulder and wrapping around his paw. (If anyone gets the Rowan/marking reference PM me and I will be your best friend!) "Congradulations!" he told Sunpaw, who licked her chest self-consciously. "Thanks, Rowanpaw!" she purred, then, "Kestrelflight's waiting, I have to go!" she apologized, then bounded over to her mentor. Rowanpaw grinned, and she smiled back.
Sunpaw looked back at him as she stopped next to Kestrelflight, and watched as a mouse-brown apprentice stalked up to Rowanpaw.
Clawpaw, Sunpaw thought with disgust. Clawpaw hissed something in Rowanpaw's ear, who turned and padded off stiffly.
Sunpaw had no idea what was with those two, but neither like the other and seemed to always be at each other's throats. Shrugging, Sunpaw followed Kestrelflight and Leafdapple out of camp.

___________________________________________________________________________

"The territory is so big," breathed Sunpaw as they left camp. Kestrelflight chuckled softly. "Indeed it is, Sunpaw," she replied. The golden apprentice darted ahead, dashing back and forth through the undergrowth. There were so many new smells, new sights, and Sunpaw didn't know what to make of it. Everything overwhelmed her, but she didn't care, she wanted more.
"Where are we going?" asked Moonpaw quietly. She was padding alongside Leafdapple, head down, acting tame, weak, subservient like she always did.
Sunpaw snotred. Live a little, Moonpaw! she thought, wishing her sister wasn't so docile. Suddenly a familiar scent wafted toward her, something she knew and recoginzed: mouse.
She opened her mouth to better taste the air and crept forward, pushing through the bracken to see the small creature. Instantly it froze than sat upright, sensing her. Then the mouse bolted, and a black blur went flying after it. Sunpaw jerked past as Nightpaw shot past her, chasing the mouse, but it disappeared down a small hold moments before Nightpaw's claws closed around it.
The black apprentice spun angrily to Sunpaw, who was trying to sneak away.
"Sunpaw!" she hissed. "You just had to ruin it, didn't you!"
Sunpaw backed away. "I- I didn't-"
Nightpaw began to circle Sunpaw, who hadn't realized until just now how much bigger the black apprentice was than her. "Didn't meant to what? Ruin my warrior assessment, Mousebrain?"
Suddenly a jolt of anger and bravery shot through Sunpaw, unexpected and strange. She fluffed out her fur angrily and snarled back, "Oh, I'm sorry that I ruined your big test, Night!"
Nightpaw stumbled back as though she had been struck, and Sunpaw instantly felt horrible.
"That's low, even for a foxhearted clanborn cat like you!" Nightpaw hissed, blinking back angry tears. And then she bounded off, her paws not making a sound.
Sunpaw was horrified by what she had said. It was a low blow, and cruel too. Nightpaw had a painful past; born to a rogue and a kittypet, she had been called simply Night, something all cats knew. At six moons, her rogue mother had been killed brutally, Nightpaw never giving the details of how or why. A RiverClan patrol had found her, but threw her out because of her heritage. SkyClan had rescued her from near-death and trained her to be a warrior. Sunpaw knew that, secretly, Nightpaw was terrified that she would never be good enough to become an actual warrior, which was why she had so greatly overreacted.
Sighing, Sunpaw headed back to her mentor, not speaking for the rest of their patrol.

________________________________________________________________________

Sunpaw streched out in the warm afternoon sunlight. The dusty ground outside the apprentice den was warm and the light reflected off her golden pelt. Her eyes colsed as she began to nod off, then-
"Get up, Sunpaw!" someone said, poking her side with a sharp paw. Sunpaw opened a single green-gold eye and glared at Kestrelflight before rolling over and pushing herself to her paws.
"Yes?" she inquired sarcastically. Kestrelflight jerked her head at the Skyledge as Swiftstar jumped up onto it. He made it look easy enough, but Sunpaw caught his groan. He was getting old, she knew, but he was as good a leader as ever.
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Skyledge for a clan meeting," he called.
Nightpaw sat proudly next to her mentor at the base of the rock, her black coat gleaming with slight purple hues in the direct sun.
Once all the cats were assembled, Swiftstar began, "Nightpaw here has, at last, passed her warrior assessment with flying colors, and she has proven herself to the warriors many times as well."
Here he paused, looking at Nightpaw and her mentor, Birchfall. The cream colored tom also happened to be her father, which had made things rather awkward between Nightpaw and Sunpaw at first. Lost in thought, she jumped more than she would have usually when Clawpaw pocked her from behind.
"Pay attention, mousebrain, your leader is talking," he sneered. Sunpaw bared her fangs at him silently before returning her attention to Swiftstar.
"From this day onwards," he was saying, "You will be known as Nightstorm." The leader brushed his nose against the newly named warrior's. "Serve your Clan well," he mewed solemnly. Nightstorm turned around to face the clan.
"Tonight, you will sit a silent vigil over the camp in your last test." A small coughing fit shook Swiftstar's body, but he brushed it off quickly and finished, "May StarClan light your path."

The Dragon Heir
Sorry for all the missing commas and other stuff, it ddidn't ant to transfer over from the doc I had it in well.I'll lfix it sometime.

Ash wafted through the air, the only movement.
A silver dragon, her beautiful scales streaked with grime, stood on a rocky ledge above the battlefield. She scanned the ground, looking for anything, a small movement, a telltale flash of black scales. Seeing nothing, she bowed her head

"Aislinn," a voice came from behind her. She did not move.

Go away. she snarled. The other dragon stepped up beside her, brushing her wing with his. His scales, like hers, were dirty, but underneath, they shone orange-red.

Come with me. he urged. Please.

Aislinn looked at him. Did you find her? she asked. He nodded slightly. Im sorry.

Aislinn spread her torn wings and leaped into the sky, her pearlescent horns catching the light. Where is she? Aislinn demanded. Show me, Jasper!

Jasper took to the the air as well, and wheeled away to the east. Aislinn followed swiftly, wincing as the wind whistled through her torn wings.

Then she saw her. The queen of the dragons lay on the rocks, her black scales dull, her side torn open with a terrible gash. As soon as Aislinn saw her, she knew there was no hope left. She landed beside the once-mighty queen, laying her head beside hers. The queens side rose and fell the tiniest bit, and her breath came in ragged gasps. She attempted to raise her head but failed.

Aislinn she rasped. Aislinn turned her head so her tears don't fall on the queens wounds. It is my time to go she sighed, the sound like a soft wind.

Aislinn shook her head sharply. No! she cried. Ill get help, you will make it! She placed her head on the cold earth beside the queens. Karyan, oh, Im so sorry

Queen Karyan smiled sadly. You have nothing to apologize for, little one. she replied. It is I should be saying sorry for leaving you too soon, far too soon She struggled to rise. Help me! she ordered, a trace of her authority in her voice.

But, Your Majesty protested Aislinn. Karyan fixed her with a glare, and pushed herself into a sitting position. Aislinn rushed to support her, and pushed her onto all four legs. Then she took several steps back.

The queen stood, silhouetted the setting sun. She half spread her wings, and Aislinn could not help but look in awe at the mighty queen.

Hear me well! roared the queen, though it was obvious her voice was weakening. For I name Aislinn, Bane of Shadows, as my heir and She of Obsidian scales!

Aislinn took a step back as the queen began to glow. The golden fire, the Heartfire, spread along her body, sealing her wounds and restoring the luster to her scales. It collected around her, turning her onyx scales gold. Then, it rose into the sky, and Karyan collapsed. Aislinn stepped to her side, watching the sky. The Heartfire rose into the air, forming a huge burning dragon. Karyans body dissolved deep blue, glowing, starlike orbs. They mixed with her Heartfire, and in the sky Aislinn saw the queens spirit.
The spirit looked down at Aislinn, and spoke to her. Aislinn never forgot those words.

You are the one! whispered the queens spirit. Rule well, Bane of Shadows!

And then Aislinn felt a change deep within her. Her wounds stopped throbbing. Her tears flowed freely.

Aislinn paced up and down in front of a heavy set of closed, wrought iron doors, gilded with gold and studded with precious gems. She was numb, impatient, and above all, terrified. Her queen had just died nearly a fortnight ago, and the Heartfire had been passed on to a new queen. Behind the doors, she knew, was the Council, an elite group of dragons who, under the queen, ruled Alsie. Soon, Aislinn would enter the Councils chamber and tell them of the battle and her last moments with Karyan.

Aislinn growled in irritation. Surely Jasper should be done by now! She turned to bang on the doors just as Jasper came out. She nearly crashed into him, but stopped just in time.

Aislinn! Jasper gasped. What are you doing here?

Aislinn hissed angrily. What? You ask me what I am doing here?! The spines around her neck and along her spine bristled, and she raised her poisonous barbed tail threateningly.

Jasper took a step back. I didnt mean... he began, but Aislinn shoved past him and into the Council chamber.

It was surprisingly small, with a low domed ceiling and a rough stone floor gouged with countless claw marks from thousands of dragons. Aislinn walked surely across the floor and came to a smooth halt at a respectful distance from the Council. They stared in silence at each other, one emotionless, one impatient.

Aislinn speculated that the chamber could hold over twenty dragons, but today, only four seats were occupied.

Finally the largest of the four, a deep royal blue female with turquoise underparts and swirling patterns on her wings, spoke.

Aislinn Nyrasdottir. she rumbled. I am Tsunami. Tell us what happened with you and Karyan. Jasper has already given us his account.

Aislinn nodded and began to relay the tale of the terrible battle and her moments with her queen. By the time she had finished, her eyes were wet and her cheeks were scored with tears. And then she dissolved into the Heartfire and was gone. she finished, choosing not to tell them about her queens words to her. They were special, and she feared that if she spoke them aloud, they would lose that feeling.

Tsunami nodded, the motioned to the dragon sitting next to her, a rich red male with orange markings, wearing brilliant golden armor. Aislinn recognized him as Halt, leader of the Queens private guard.

Now that Karyan is gone, we shall need a queen. rumbled Halt. Did the queen name a successor?

Aislinn paused. No she lied.

A tiny, elderly green dragon spoke up now. I am Jade, elder of this Council. When such a case happens, it is my duty to find a queen. Jade stepped forward, half spreading her black-spiraled wings for balance. And I believe I know who that is. She turned her head toward the third dragon, who was obscured by shadows. He leaned into the light, and Aislinn gasped.
The dragon was large, and powerful, with snowy white skin and clear, crystal-like scales.

Aragon! Aislinn bowed her head to the Dragon King. He smiled sadly at her.

Aislinn I see your lie. And I believe she was right. Aragon told her.
He rose up to his impressive full height and touched the tip of his snout to hers.

All hail Queen Aislinn, heir of Karyan, Bane of Shadows. he rumbled in his deep, solemn voice.

All hail Queen Aislinn! echoed the Council.

Aislinns scales shimmered like a mirage, then waves of inky darkness flowed across them from the point Aragon had touched her. Her starlight scales had become darker than a starless night, for only one dragon had obsidian scales, the Queen, even as the King was the only one with scales of diamond.

Karyans words sounded in her head. Rule well, Bane of Shadows.

I will, Karyan, I promise.

Nova Academy For Witches
Kind of based off of Aquila's Witch Academy. I'm usuing my character, Nicole, and the others will be randomly created for this.

"What do you mean I'm changing schools?" demanded Nicole, angrily brandishing the letter her mother had just given her, and the news that came with it.

"Nicole, I told you - I got that letter from your school today, saying they want you to transfer to a special academy for the gifted," her mother repeated, audibly frusterated at Nicole's attitude. "Really, I don't see what you're so upset about. You're always saying you're bored in class, that your coursework is too easy." She sighed through her nose, pulling up a chair in their rustic log-cabin style citchen in their ranch house and sitting down. "This is a chance for you to get education at the learning level you're at."

"'At the learning level you're at' isn't very good grammar Mom," muttered Nicole, brushing hair - currently bleached and streaked with neon pink and lime green - out of her face.

Her mother, Emilee, through her hands up in the air. "See, Nicole, this is what I mean!"

Nicole rolled her eyes. "Really, Mom, anyone could have told you that. That wasn't anything special," she said, and it was true.

Emilee shook her head, not wanting to get into an argumant with her daughter. "Just read the letter, okay?" she asked.

Nicole shrugged, stuffing the letter into the pocket of her grey sweatshirt as she left the kitchen. She stopped by the door long enogh to tug on her battered riding boots before walking out to the stable.

"Aiya, girl," she said to her horse as she entered the stall. "Wanna go riding?" she asked, offering her an apple, smiling as the horse's velvety lips tickled her palm.

Calm Bafore The Storm, usually called Storm, was a tall silver dappple mare with a black spotted blanket marking and a fiery, restive personality. She was quite friendly, but most ddidn't ike how much spirit she had and preferred to stick to riding the other horses Nicole's family owned. Nicole, however, loved her.

Slipping the halter over Storm's head and clipping on the lead rope, Nicole led her out into the barn hall and tied her to the bars on the stall. Then she went to get some brushes, dorpping them on thr ground by Storm's hooves. The mare didn't flinch, to her everlasting credit, and Nicole knew some horses who would have spooked their heads off at the clatter of the brushes on the concrete ground.
