Hello, I need some advice for an upcoming event that is on Wednesday night.
I was part of a high school sports team this year, and they'll be holding a banquet. At the banquet there will be the boys 7s and 15s rugby team and the girls 7s and 15s rugby team. It's being held at a restaurant with awards.
The reason I need advice is one of the girls on my teams. She has been rude to me, and behind my back. She's says how I'm an embarrassment to the team, I just goof off 24/7 and how I brag? I don't know why I'm an embarrassment, I always go early and stay late at practices when she cuts early, and I don't brag because I don't even talk to anyone on the team.
It's also hard because all the other girls on my team never liked or disliked me and they value the one girl that's rude to me. I'm torn between going and just ignoring it, but I still have the feeling I shouldn't because I don't want to be embarrassed there or drama started. It's also hard to say anything when she's very agressive, but I'm very introverted.
Should I go to the awards? Should I not go and just pass? Needing some advice from anyone :/

You are free to ignore my advice but I believe you should still go to the banquet. I believe that it is better to go and have the experience than to let her negative ways stop you from having a probably good time. This has worked for me before. However it might be different for you. Just choose whichever you believe would leave you with less regrets.

This is going to sound corny as hell, but do what you think is right.
If you really want to go to the banquet, go to it. Don't let someone ruin it for you. If she makes you uncomfortable, dont force yourself
If she does stress you out at the banquet, I would maybe step out or something
