Hello! I apologise if this is a silly question, but I've looked around and I can't seem to find an answer (or, most likely, I'm just missing it).
When it comes to mutations / genes of a sylesti, what do the colours (blue, green, purple) stand for? I'm pretty sure the green means the gene is carried, but I've seen both the purple and blue represent a visible gene? What is the differentiation between the two? Or am I in the wrong entirely?
Thank you and apologies for my cluelessness in advance! ()

You're correct on the green. A blue trait is a vis trait with nothing known under it. A purple trait is a vis trait with a "hidden" trait under it, which is basically a carried trait in the same slot. If a pet is not genetically tested, purple traits will show up as blue.

We go into it a bit on post 4 of this guide, "Section 9 Visible Traits, Carried Traits, Hidden Traits", but basically it's exactly as Dragonnadder said.
