Does the bird have to be completely red? And does orange count? Cause everybody calls robins "Red-Breasted" but they are most definitely orange. So, does the bird have to actually be red, or just called "red."

I can't participate unfortunately, we do not have fossils up here, and even if we did, we still have snow so it would be hard to dig out.
Also there arent many bugs out yet and its always cloudy

Good luck to my southern neighbours!

I realized i do not have to do them all. I will participate in the scavenger hunt this morning.

This years Scav is absolutely ridiculous, and not considerate of region, country, availability, of objects. I will not be participating in solidarity with everyone this is biased against.

There are states, countries, etc, that don't even have a red bird geographically located there.

How on earth is anyone supposed to find a fossil on their own.

Insect eggs? You realize half the people who do find these MUST disturb them to do so? They don't tend to lay them in easily spotted locations for a reason. I foresee a lot of people honestly just.. flooding ant hills to get them to bring their eggs out cause that is the easiest way to do that one. I wouldn't want to be encouraging things like that, personally.

In past years I have been able to find in at least one case every single thing on the list. It was challenging, but I could. I don't even feel this would be possible for anyone, unless museum fossils which are not outside at all count, which, kind of defeats the entire point.

I agree, plus its still snowy here in Canada, and we had an ice storm that killed like everything. Thank you for saying this!

@Zelly

I don't disagree with you on several of those points, specifically the geographic one, however, there are plenty of insect eggs that you can find without disturbing them. If you know a place with running water you can probably pretty easily find black fly eggs. A lot of common pests will also lay their eggs on the underside of leaves. It doesn't take too much researching to learn what to look for.

I might also recommend doing a bit of googling to find a butterfly garden or exhibit near you. Even if you don't know what to look for, the staff there will and probably already know where some eggs can be found.

Omg yes <3 :D

Find something...goopy? XD

Quick question... by flock of birds, can I just take a pic with my quail? I have loads....and technically they are a flock

I live in Australia (where it is coming close to winter) and I managed to find nearly all of these. So it is very worthwhile to attempt :)

[X] 1. Find some weeds

[X] 2. Find a rock with moss on it

[X] 3. Find a fruit tree
My lime or lemon tree, since Im kinda unsure.

[X] 4. Find wild growing berries

[X] 5. Find shedded animmal hair/fur
CAAAAAAATS!

[X] 6. Find a flock of birds

[X] 7. Find some litter and clean it up

[X] 8. Find insect/spider eggs
Thought they were jellybeans at first xD

[X] 9. Find a sunset

[X] 10. Find a sunrise

[X] 11. Find a flowering bush

[ ] 12. Find a flowering tree
[X] 13. Find something with a shell
My quail eggies

[ ] 14. Find a baby mammal
[X] 15. Find a bird that is red
My Rhode Island Red Chicken (Max is holding her for convenience :P)

[X] 16. Find a yellow insect
Yellow ladybug says hi

[ ] 17. Find a fossil
[X] 18. Find something thorny

[X] 19. Find something goopy
Never said it couldnt be duck poo

[X] 20. Find something right outside your house that you find beautiful
My mums little succulent garden

I guess, technically 2 or more of the same species would qualify. However, the ambition of that objective is like a dozen or couple dozen.
