I've cleaned out every enemy in the Lost Grove 3 times now and not gotten a single egg from the sets from any enemies. I haven't completed any sets yet, and as I understand it the named enemies at least are supposed to drop one each time.

Are you confusing the Elites (Placeholders) with the Named?

Elites are the 4 star enemies with generic names, like "Ancient Ent", "Crazed Druid", and "Nightfall Captain".

Named are the 5 star enemies with actual specific names, like "Eleane the Duelist".

Does Oakstout not count as a named? One run through I encountered Malfurion (sp?) too. And I can't actually recall at the moment if the captains by the tents are named or not but if they are then I've killed them too. XD

They do.

And checking in the database, I see that you have 3 Ferrikki Easter Eggs.

Looks like one came from a random enemy and the other 2 from the Named you've defeated.

Those were from previous runs. What I'm saying is I've since run through 3 times, after getting those, for a total of 6 times if that makes more sense?

Elites do not have a guaranteed chance to drop them and from when I checked, you had only defeated 2 Named (2 of your 3) and then got a random drop (the 3rd). So from what I can tell, they're all accounted for.

Ah, I think I misunderstood the drop rate! I thought it would be like every time you killed Oakstout you get one. Nevermind!
