I'm wondering if I'm the only one who feels bad about it? I released one yesterday, and then felt very guilty and sad afterwards, and I can't figure out why. I can't help worrying or wondering what happens to them when they're released into the wild, I'm fairly sure that adults or indeed adolescants should be well able to survive, and perfectly happy to be out among the woods and nature again, instead of in my barn, so why do I feel like I've abandoned them?

I can't resist picking up every egg I find, so I'm soon going to have tons of pets, and they just eat so much! I kinda hate the thought of releasing more into the wild, despite my struggles to convince myself that it's okay. I just worry or wonder, do they feel sad or abandoned? Will they be okay? And worst of all, what if I ended up fighting them one day?

Am I the only one daft enough to wonder about such things? They're only pixels after all ..... except they aren't. I was just curious if anyone else has the same problems, and how they solve it.

I also feel bad about it. I've never released one because I can't stand the thought, but I'm afraid I will have to.. I can't buy a second stable, so once I have all my tabs, I'll have to start releasing.. (or at least start giving them away..)

I think part of it comes frm the fact that we can name them. Once you name something, it's more valuable to you.

We are planning on adding an NPC service in the near future where you will be able to sell your unwanted pets to an NPC merchant for a small profit.

This way, not only can you at least get some gold from an unwanted pet, but you can also feel better in knowing that it will be going to 'someone else' instead of the wild.

That makes me feel better!

Honestly, at first I thought, when a pet was released, he or she went into the wild where someone else could catch him/her and I thought it was pretty cool knowing that my pets might re-surface one day lol, but later I found out that they currently just.... "poof" for the lack of better wording.... and part of me went "man, I'm a horrible pet owner" xD

I think the new system, for pet releasing sounds like it will be nice.

@Krinadon,
Yeah, it would definitely be nice to know that you can sell your unwanted pets, but it'll also be cool to have the pets reappear in the wild for someone else to catch (w their name removed tho) or to have them show up in a sylesti adoption center/pet center.

The main reason we don't want to do that is because sometimes people release pets of breeding projects and they don't want it to resurface.

That does sound a nice idea! I'd definitely feel much happier doing that, and more gold is always welcome. I hope it will be a 'nice' npc though, someone who we can be sure will treat out pets well, so soppy people like me don't worry if he's going to be mean to them.

I'm going to be keeping all my hungry pets now, and waiting eagerly for this npc.

I feel awful turning them out glad to know there will be an addition that will let us feel better about it. I hope that people don't stop sharing their wonderful pets with those of us that really love adopting them from other people.
